Hey guys, new here but have been lurking for years. I've got a quick question, why hasn't Treadwell been playing any type of roll with the Vikings?
I mean you spend the draft pick on him and seems like you would play him.
May have been discussed in a different thread, sorry if I didn't notice.

I've heard he's having trouble getting open, needs to learn to practice, and has a coach has a history of doing this with rookie WRs. Not sure what's accurate

I guess I could see that about getting open not as much as they would like since he wasn't the fastest but seems like his strength with blocking and going up to get the ball would help with that. But it's a whole different beast in the NFL. I guess the coach knows best though since I'm sitting here typing this and he is making the big bucks lol.
Im sure he will push for a spot soon with his confident attitude. Haven't watched much of their games, I usually just look at the box score for his name. Don't know if they're loaded at receivers or not.

He's just a rookie receiver on a team playing behind a couple of more experienced receivers. He'll be fine, just needs to adjust to pro-style football.

The Viking bring receivers along very slowly with a lot of tough love. Diggs struggled for playing time early as did Patterson. Norv Turner is very old school. Plus they aren't hurting for targets right now so they don't need to rush into it.

Well most of y'all that I see on here seem to try to stay on top of all things Ole Miss,as do I, but just haven't heard much out of him is why. I was sure he would step into a number 2 or 3 guy in rotation but like the other guy said he is a rookie.

He's obviously not ready for the NFL yet.

They working him in slowly. He did see the field as WR and special teams in his last game... No targets

They did the same think with Diggs... Diggs is now the man for the Vikings..

They want him to work on his routes and be a better route runner... They do not want rush him in PLUS they have some good WR's there doing well...

They are playing with a backup QB who just got there learning the offense as well. Everything they are doing is pretty vanilla on offense...He will get his chance and when they throw the ball his way...he will shine..

Diggs is doubtful this Sunday for the Vikes... If he doesn't play I predict Treadwell gets 4-6 targets.

Like to see Quon throw some good blocks out on the edge as well.

Welp... I don't know if he was ever targeted but he didn't record any catches.

He touched the ball once while recovering an onside kick. He went in at wide out maybe once or twice and got zero looks his direction.

Not strange at all. The opposite of strange, in fact.

Truth is he was never good a running routes. He made a living off of jump balls and unfortunately in the league you are a liability if that's all you are great at. Especially if you are slow. You can't be a slow possession receiver that can't run routes. So they are refining his game. He is an exceptional talent, he just needs to work on his craft.
