There's little doubt that there's a learning curve on the coaching front, but I'm thinking we'll see him get a grip on that as we watch the roster shape to his liking, too. Besides - let's say there's a grain of truth to the upperclassmen static undercurrents - that c

I agree other than I think one of the primary things he needed to do was get upperclassmen buy in. I'm not assuming he didn't. I'm not certain he didn't, but to blame the players for not buying into the coach is bullshite in my opinion.

I'm totally with you in the thought that the buy-in from upperclassmen is critical. I've paraded Herman's account of such on here multiple times. Kirby's challenge that he'll have to overcome is to get the results he wants out of the guys he didn't pick. That's coaching + roster.

Your shtick is getting tired very quickly. Kirby doesn't drop passes, he doesn't miss tackles, he doesn't miss field goals and he doesn't miss blocks for Eason. What exactly is he supposed to do differently? You keep saying it's a coaching issue but offer no support for that argument.

This is the same team that got lucky to beat Mizzou, Ga Southern and Tech last year. We should have been 7-6.

I don't see any evidence of this lack of buy-in people are talking about. Not being good doesn't equal a lack of buy in.

The coddled richt upperclassmen cant handle the heat from Smart. Cant wait until they are gone and replaced by men.

Can you cite examples of when a coach, one we consider good in hindsight, came into a program and had immediate success with the previous regime's players?

It doesn't happen. Why do you think that is?
