State plays "at UMass" next week but the game will be played at Gillette Stadium, home of the New England Patriots. The Minutemen make the return trip in 2017, and there is no cost to MSU for this game.

They just pulled the same scheduling deal with Louisiana-Lafayette. 2018 in Starkville, 2019 "At ULL" but in the Superdome.

$1 million or so for more cabanas instead of buy games!

ULL will fill up the dome, don't see any problem with this.

IMO that's actually good scheduling, New Orleans is badass and it's a game y'all should win.

It is smart for all 3 schools

They get to play in pro stadium, they get to a hotbed of alumni, and nobody loses out on a home game.

Last time I recall MSU going into the dome they got beat by Tulane with a Jackie team.

Can State host recruits at this? If so it's not a bad idea for scheduling. I know for a standard neutral site game you can host them but they have to pay travel expenses and you can't have contact with them, not sure how this is classified

UMass plays half or more of their home games at Gillette. When they first moved up the FBS all of their home games were there.

Their on campus stadium is tiny, lacking in amenities, and far from their major alumni base. Though they do want to eventually have all their home games on campus it seems like that won't happen any time soon unless they move back down to FCS.
