9/2 @UCLA

9/9 vs. Nicholls State

9/16 vs. Louisiana-Lafayette

9/23 vs. Arkansas (AT&T Stadium)

9/30 vs. South Carolina

10/7 vs. Alabama

10/14 @Florida

10/21 BYE

10/28 vs. Mississippi State

11/4 vs. Auburn

11/11 vs. New Mexico

11/18 @Ole Miss

11/25 @LSU

Tough schedule imo. Road games at The Swamp, Death Valley, and The Grove. Not to mention Westwood. Plus Alabama is never a good matchup for any team no matter the location

Many are expecting a poor 2017 year on the field and this schedule makes it difficult to argue against that

Any way too early predictions predictions? I'd bet on no more than 7 wins right now

You have no real idea how most of these teams will be this year let alone in 2017 & you're predicting a ceiling of 7 wins? Cmon man.

quick glance makes it a manageable schedule with only 4 road games and only 3 of them in the SEC. then you realize its UCLA, UF, OM, LSU. i would think Ole miss would be the only one of those we have a better than average chance at winning. arkansas has a bye before us and they are probably the difference in us winning 7 or 8.

Absolutely impossible to tell. So much can change between now and just the end of the year as we should know from the last two seasons. Add in Stidham and Kendall Sheffield being out there as instant impact guys and then the x factor of guys leaving (Hall, Wilson, Watts, RSJ, etc). Let's get through this season.

Some sweet road trip opportunities though

I hope the team shows better than the early prognosticators say. It looks like a good road schedule for the traveling fan. I'd like to make UCLA, Florida, and LSU games.

Not only that, but Auburn, LSU, Arkansas, Mississippi State, South Carolina, and Florida all have byes before us.

What? I thought you were counting rent a wins as byes but has LSU before our game. I only see Auburn and Arkansas with true byes.

Definitely not an easy schedule, but a fun one if you travel to a lot of away games.

Not going to even try predicting a result for 2017 as I don't have a good handle on us and other teams for this year. Let's get at least 3/4 through the season before we try to talk next year (and preferably all the way through the regular season).

It will be a fun game, but A&M needs to stop scheduling these games. It's a lost opportunity to host recruits for A&M's athletic programs.

Yeah I understand that. I think it would be a good vacation get away. Have to imagine the weather would be awesome.

Now THAT is a real schedule. There's no way you could get this type of quality opponents week in and out in the Big12.

We are required to schedule these games. You think we can schedule P5 opponents without making it home and home? There are only so many neutral site games, especially in areas where we actually recruit

I think 2017 might be the first year I run the full 12/12 gauntlet. Those road games are all excellent venues. Living in Dallas makes SWC easy. We won't play in the Rose Bowl or at the swamp again for a long time. Gotta get those in for sure. Still haven't made it to the grove or death valley, so I'd like to get those in as well. 2017 is the year of the road trip.

Maybe I worded it poorly but I meant that as if I had to place a bet at this exact moment with the all of my personal opinions of ours and the other teams outlooks, I would not go any higher than 7 wins. I could definitely see us winning more though. We'll lose a lot but adding sheff and Mond/Stid would be huge. Also I like where we are with the
O line/D line and RBs for the immediate future

If the SEC allows us to treat this is a neutral site game and recruit, that is good move. If they do not then this is just flat out dumb com allows us to treat this is a neutral site game and recruit, then it is good move. If they do not, then this is just flat out dumb.

What is the solution? We are required to play a P5 game every year and there are only so many neutral site games. Every P5 team is going to want a home and home if it's not a neutral site game.

We'll be going to the Rose Bowl and The Swamp for sure.
