If Sumlin gets run after this season, how would y'all feel if we made a play for Les Miles? I'm not saying we could get him and I don't know anything about buyouts, but I would think he'd seriously listen considering his uncertain future in BR and the easy transition he'd have in recruiting.

He's a very solid coach but I do not think he could recruit well enough not being in LA

Im not saying it's something that we could pull off. It's the longest of shots. I'm not under any illusions.
But you're telling me that less than a year removed from LSU actively searching for another coach that he wouldn't at least take a meeting?
If I posted the same thing about Chavis before his move, you'd have probably said it was the dumbest post ever. But here we are.

I don't think his offensive style meshes well with the offensive personnel that come out of Texas - the spread offense is king here for better or worse and it's obvious what kind of offense he wants. He would definitely be able to put together a top staff that could recruit though.
I also think Miles will either get fired or LSU will kill it this year and he will get an extension, so I don't know how available he is. Our gray area with Sumlin is 8-4, ie if we are worse than that most of his feel he is gone and if we're better he's staying. I would be curious where that middle point lies with LSU for the LSU posters who post on here- does he get fired at 9-3? I feel like 8-4 and he is absolutely gone but no idea at 9-3. Y'all know better than us though
