I'm doing 2 leagues this year. I went down to just doing 1 league for the previous 3 years and had a lot of success, but the guys in the neighborhood wanted to get one going.

How is/are your team(s) looking this year?

12 Team, Non-PPR, 6 pts TD's, 5 pt bonus for +400 Passing or +200 Rushing or Receiving, 1 pt 10 yds receiving/rushing, 1 pt 25 yds passing. Defense shutout starts at 25 pts and then scales down by 5 pts for each 7 pts allowed (i.e. 25 pts for allowing 0 pts, 20 pts for allowing b/w 1-6 pts, 15 pts for allowing 7-13 pts, etc....)

Starting Roster is QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, TE, FLEX (RB/WR/TE,) K, D/ST.

QB Drew Brees
RB Lamar Miller
RB Jamaal Charles
RB TJ Yeldon
RB Derrick Henry
RB Danny Woodhead
WR Antonio Brown
WR Alex Hurns
WR Michael Crabtree
WR Willie Snead
WR Kamar Aiken
WR Bruce Ellington
WR Terrance Williams
TE Coby Fleener
K Steven Hauschka
D/ST Seattle

I like my QB at where I drafted him (7th Rd, and QB's were flying off the board so I had to make a move or lose.) I also like my RB's and starting WR's, but I'm gambling on the rest of the WR's. Thought I had a good value for that TE in the 9th Rd. Got a GREAT defense for the way my league scores and a really solid Kicker. I couldn't get any Panthers late in the draft, b/c we had "That Guy" in the league who only drafted Panthers players...no shite, he drafted Funchess in the 8th Rd.

I've never played. Wish I knew enough to contribute. I rarely even watch NFL anymore ... Colin Kaepernick is another example of why.

QB: Derrick Carr
RB: Carlos Hyde
RB: Thomas Rawls
WR: Jordy Nelson
WR: Deandre Hopkins
TE: Julius Thomas
R/W/T: Mike Evans
K: Graham Gano
DEF: KC

Tom Brady
Dak Prescott
Ameer abdulla
Matt Jones
Anquan Boldin
Michael crabtree
Gary Barnage

Not stellar but not horrible either. I scooped up dak when Romo went down, just for trade bait, and I plucked Tom Brady in the 13th round. So as long as I can limp the team along for a couple weeks I expect him to be the full time starter after that.

QB: Cam Newton
RB: Lesean McCoy
RB: Matt Forte
WR: Alshon Jeffery
WR: T.Y. Hilton
TE: Zach Ertz
R/W/T: Matt Jones
K: Justin Tucker
DEF: Rams

Matt Stafford
Shane Vereen
Torrey Smith
Michael Thomas
Gary Barnage
Jason Meyers
Bucs

Couple of errors / worry spots on my part. Alshon is predicted to have a pretty big year, but he has had some injury issues. I was actually going for Marshall but he was picked up a couple of slots before me. With that said, it is a contract year for Alshon so I'm hoping he really shows out.

I was back and forth on actually picking up another D/ST instead of just waiting later in the year. I guess I could've done it when the time comes but I always want a 2nd option for all spots for when a BYE week comes and I feel at least somewhat comfortable with who I have.

Got the rant one going, it was an auto draft because I thought the draft time as central. Apparently everyone is auto drafted

My personal one, were drafting Labor Day.

That's a pretty good lineup of starting WRs, but if it were me I would cut my worst 2 and pick up another QB and TE from the free agent pool (with different bye weeks from your starters). If something were to happen to your starting QB or TE you don't want to be looking on the waiver wire hoping somebody else doesn't have a higher waiver priority for a replacement player you want to snag. Unless there's not a waiver wire for your league and it's first come/first serve, in which case you would have to act quickly. You're probably better off having that piece of mind before the season starts.

Haven't done my draft yet.

We normally do it a few days before the first game, so we can see all the injuries from preseason.

Good thought. We don't do a waiver wire though, it's first come/first served. I like that format the most, b/c 'Merica. I've found that it's not the big that eat the small, it's the fast that eat the slow.

Anybody have any great/terrible draft stories yet?

I do, and it's awfully funny. The guys from my neighborhood wanted to start a FFB league, so we did, 12 team league that I posted my roster already.

3 guys were trying FFB out for the first time...and it showed. 1 guy is a HUGE Panthers fan and selected Kelvin Benjamin as his 1st Rd, #9 Overall pick and then all the other Panthers WR's later on.

1 Guy picked Tom Brady in the 2nd Rd and then Phillip Rivers in the 3rd Rd...his overall best RB is Frank Gore who got in the 7th Rd.

Then finally, there was the SINGLE WORST DRAFT I'VE EVER SEEN. 1 Guy picked Isaiah Crowell in the 2nd Rd, #13 Overall AND then he picked K Josh Scobee in the 4th Rd....Josh Scobee isn't even playing this year....LOL. That was the single worst draft pick I've ever seen.

Sheesh ... this is interesting to follow.

Do they do these things for college football as well?

They do. I never do it because the pool to choose from is insanely large.

I'd be interested to try it one year though.

This.

And a lot of times its guys from schools you really dont give a shite about. Atleast with the NFL I know a good amount about it and can watch redzone.

For college, I really don't give a shite about Texas San Antonio, but they have a great fantasy players because they're putting up 450 yards passing a game playing against the School of the Deaf and Blind.

Your QB, WR, IDP, and DEF situation is solid. Your TE pick is now even better, IMO, since Romo will miss time and Dak will be looking for safety valve throws. Your RB situation is ok, but you'll need to build depth off the waiver wire in the first couple of weeks. See what RB's are sneaking more carries or move up the depth chart b/c somebody is injured. Is that for a 10 or 12 team league?
