Try to recall how the Mona Lisa looks just based on your own memory. Try to see it as best as you can without pulling up a picture of it. Try to describe to yourself what she looks in the painting.

Now, go google the Mona Lisa. How does it compare with what you thought she looks like?

I've been as close to the Mona Lisa as one can get without being arrested. Had to fight my way through an Army of Japanese tourists to do it. I remember it exactly as it is.

My memory of the Mona Lisa is a slightly older woman, with her body turned more straight at you, a slightly rounder face, with more of a resting bitch face than a clear smile although it did seem kinda like she might have a slight smile but it wasn't clear.

I wish I could copy and paste the image I have in my head because there are others out there who seem to have the same exact memory as I do.

It was underwhelming as shite wasn't it? It wasn't as big as I thought it would be for some reason.

I took an art history class last semester, it looks exactly like I remembered.

Yep. Definitely underwhelming. There are so many works in the Louvre that are far more impressive. Still glad that I can say that I was there and can't wait to visit again.

Just as underwhelming as I remember it being in person.

The Mona Lisa is actually a self portrait of da Vinci, which is why "she" has a slight coy smile. That's the secret.
