Philosophical Recruiting Question RE: IMG

Is it possible to build a pipeline there?
I would argue no, it is not. With recruiting or prospects starting earlier and earlier all the time, and the vast majority of prospects going to IMG for only their senior year, the relationships are likely built before the prospects ever step foot on IMGs campus. To me that means that what happens one year has little to no effect on the following years, which means no pipeline.
I am interested in hearing all well thought out opinions. And even the not so well thought out ones as long as they're civil.

No, too many kids from all over.
Also, IMG (the company) has no interest in allowing that to happen.

IMG's interest are in contracts when they reach the pro's. its counter productive for them to be a pipeline to one university.

I don't think so. Perhaps one school cleans up in a single class, but I don't see how it would carry over year to year. As others said it's not in IMG's interest to steer kids.
I also don't think the coaching staff could have as much influence on a kid he's coached for one year compared to a town's high school coach that's probably known a star kid for a while and is prominent in the community.

Chris Weinke was trying when he was the director.

In a single class maybe but not long term. Just too many states and allegiances represented.

All I know is whenever Tennessee targets transfer to IMG, Tennessee is removed from consideration.
Something fishy about that school. Perhaps handlers are heavily involved there.

I think the only draw is getting a commit or two to go there and then recruit for you while they're there. That's the "pipeline" aspect of it IMO.

IMG is LSU's best friend. We stay hauling 4 and 5 star recruits from there. Basically the entire state of Florida helps LSU out quite a bit. Especially them DB's :)

Don't know much about the football side of IMG Academy but we have been there playing in the IMG Nationals Lacrosse Tournament. Awesome complex. My wife and I considered sending our two sons there until we were told the price. Around $60,000 per student a year.
Obviously we passed. We stuck with Spanish Fort, AL

What are some of the biggest out of state pipeline schools to particular colleges of recent times? I can't really think of many. OU at Bishop Gorman is all I got.
It's not as bad as package deals but I think building a pipeline somewhere is way overblown since it rarely happens.
