Straight and to the point.

Can y'all beat Clemson come September 3? I am hearing there are only about 3500 tickets left for that 9 p.m. game.

There won't be a bigger Barn booster in the world that day than this old Carolina/Georgia fan.

Really interested in your remarks. One thing, this year teams can't key on Watson exclusively. That Feaster kid is a beast of a back.

We have a great track record for home games with kickoff after 7:30. So we got that going for us.

If there is a good time to play them, it would probably be early in the season as they do have a good bit of new pieces.

If we have a QB that is competent, yes. If it is more of the same from last year, no.

If this were in Death Valley, no way. But anything can happen when you have these factors going for you:

1. Night game
2. in Auburn
3. a season opener (so teams are rusty)
4. Clemson has no idea who AU will put at QB or what type of offense they will run
5. Malzahn is a tricky SOB who will have a lot invested in this game. AU needs a spark.

Correct

If our 3rd string QB plays then the game either went way better than expected or horribly wrong

Crazy shite happens in JH at night...8 pm kick off time with a fully healthy Carl Lawson? Yeah, we could win. We could also lose. But one thing is for sure...i wouldnt bet against us.

The biggest thing that's giving me hope right now is how incredibly cocky Dabo is being. That stuff rubs off on a team. Case in point the thread yesterday about Dabo leaving a note for Saban saying "See you in Tampa" and Saban responding "We won't be there, we aren't good enough." That's the difference between a coach that sustains success and one that will disappoint. I hope Gus learned that lesson last year. Saban is never satisfied until he's holding that trophy, while Dabo is sitting at home pleased as pie with himself.

If we have good QB play I think we have a shot since they are replacing a ton on D again this year. I have faith in Venables, but they have lost so much you gotta think they are gettable.

Biggest issue is even if our d is great, I think their o will score. We need to hit some big plays and get key turnovers, and likely win special teams which is do able for us

I've tried to do this several times. I said i would last year leading into the Louisville game. But sure enough at kickoff, I couldn't do it.

Only in unimportant bowl games can will I have a chance at rooting for them.

I honestly have no idea what to expect this year. Can't say that I have felt that way in any other year of watching Auburn football for the last 40+ years. I have a zero idea how this team will be.

One thing is for sure...Clemson's defense was absolutely gutted by the NFL draft. And i mean gutted.
