It would be a clustermess. Who in the south can ice skate? It would look like a bunch of 5 year olds on roller skates.

UAH has been a solid hockey program for years. Alabama and Arkansas seem to have decent club programs. Not sure about the other SEC programs

A lot of the larger high schools in AL have hockey teams. Some of my fraternity bros were on the first Bama team.

What?

A lot of schools down here already have club ice hockey teams. Plus, with the amount of northern students who come down here, it wouldn't be too difficult to start a program.

You know they you can recruit the north and Canada, right? A lot of those kids would like to play in the south. There just aren't any options for them right now.
