Man I read that and thought...that's it. There is nothing new here. It appears as a article to challenge the NCAA to come down hard.

My opinion is we will get hit hard solely because the NCAA wants to show its balls and what other way to do that than to hit a smaller SEC school on the rise who has been painted a narrative of cheating.

That is what scares me. The NCAA might try to hit us as an example.

But this article was pretty good in my opinion. The author did his research.

The best part of the article IMO was the part where three lawyers said they believe Ole Miss is correct with their self imposed sanctions.

Yeah I was expecting the guy to come out with a article with multiple players telling how they got loads of cash but don't have proof. This, while well constructed, wasn't the nail on the head many claimed it would be.

Maybe there is something else coming out?

So it switched from Pat Forde and Yahoo to Pete Thamel and SI?

So is Pat Forde still coming out with something or was that just a completely wrong rumor?

I started hearing this guy's name early yesterday. Maybe there is another piece. This couldn't have been it.

I wish they would shed light on just how wacko Miller is and how he tried to ruin the career of a 20yo kid and his own family. I feel like nothing this guy says can hold much weight, considering his conflict.

My thoughts exactly....anyone who reads takes his word as gospel and not embellished to paint himself as some sort of Saint needs their head examined.

I think that was just wrong.

But shite, Forde could be writing something for Media Days, but I have not seen anything on it.

I'm not breathing a sigh of relief yet because it would not shock me if Wolken or Forde are also writing something. While this doesn't show anything new, any extra publicity this gets is bad for us. It gets people talking again about bowl bans, etc.. I still want to know what is going to happen with the guy who released the texts and photo on draft night. Honestly, I would take a bowl ban for really bad things to happen to whomever did that and Lindsey Miller.

Dang, that was not that bad. It is not good, but it was all in the NOA.

Miller is just the scum of the Earth though, why is he so vindictive.

My one takeaway, I cannot believe we would leave so many paper trails. That is just lazy. Just because the young generation is a bunch of idiots when it comes to social media paper trails, our coaches should be better.

This has been my thought as well. The gall to just freely send text and messages that you KNOW are improper. Who does that? Lol

This article is loaded with false satememts, lies, and a clear intent to push propaganda that the writer knows is not substantiated by credible sources. Maybe the author of this hit piece should disclose his relationship (childhood friend, college roomate) with Ole Miss rival headcoach (Miss St HC Dan Mulen).

I wasn't going to go there because I didn't know if the rumors of Thamel being Muffins buddy were true or not. The funny thing is that isn't the first time I had read about the "Wild Wild West".....I mean I have read the same exact wording (to include the Wild West) several times on State web sights by their Mods....it can not be a coincidence that it shows up in an exact quote of a supposed "veteran SEC coach"

Anybody else notice the Rosebowl connection here? Rosebowl just recently started this idea that we'd self impose a bowl ban if we lost the first couple of games, and lo and behold, the same thing is said almost word for word in Thamel's article
