I know it happens... but note I said REPUTABLE...

College Football is popular as a whole but the inner workings of a particular program in the deep south most people in this county don't give a shite about. A TMZ is not going to pay, or at least nothing significant for info on Ole Miss.. Maybe something breaking right before a big game… but not in the off season.

And the article also says "independent experts consider the scope of the allegations severe"....

Ole Miss fans ignore this. They simply don't understand they have been caught cheating and are going to get USCw-type penalties.

Sadly, for them, they didn't just win a NC and have a Heisman winner involved, as USCw. They have simply disgraced themselves and the SEC.

Nothing to worry about. I was told by every Ole Miss fan a few months ago that nothing happened under Freeze's watch. Most of the NOA was other sports etc.

We didn't just come up with the self imposed allegations out of our arse. That was a back and forth between us and the NCAA. Our response is based off of reducing a level 1 to level 2 and a few level 2's to 3's. They probably won't accept everything we proposed but it's not some arbitrary number, it's pretty close to what we will get from the original NOA. Will more come because of the Tunsil messages? Idk, I doubt it but idk.

As far as the new information that Lindsey gave, just because the NCAA did not punish us for everything Lindsey claimed, doesn't mean it's new information. Everything that he told SI, the told the NCAA in the fall. WhAt they accused us of in the NOA is what they could prove. Just because Kiffin says "you know I will" doesn't prove anything. They don't just punish schools for something a scorned guy who can't formulate a sentence says. They have to have proof it's true.

Most posters here think our lawyers were sitting around writing our response and thinking to themselves, "you know what, we deserve way worse, but let's just throw some half-arse penalties at them and cross our fingers they'll accept"

Opinion.....opinion, and lastly..... opinion. All based on how you want the outcome to be. You haven't a clue what all came out, when it came out or what new stuff is out there.

And they don't need absolute proof. Not sure if you are trying to convince us, or yourself..........

Ask Bama about that. 2001 Bama self imposed 15 schollies. NCAA came back with 21 and a 2 year bowl ban.

Sure as frick seems like you did. If you think that you're actually gonna only lose 11 scholarships, you're fricking dreaming.

Can't wait for Lindsey Miller to make an appearance on Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel. Only a matter of time.

This story has a little SMU, USCw, UNC all put together. A little bit of everything.

But but but but, they worked with the NCAA tho

Oh yeah, I forgot, so did Bama.

It would almost be painful to watch a fanbase reach this level of denial, if that fanbase wasn't Ole Miss.

Only difference is that the 2 schools in bold are actually major market programs, where as Ole Miss is, well, a glorified high school.

Have to say, Lindsey Miller has been the only one telling the truth here. He told them about the $800.00, the $3,000 loan, the loaner cars, the hotels, the plane ticket.........and they suspended Tunsil for it. Now, he's spent 100 hours mapping out "the network", given over financial and phone records, and stated how Ole Miss made it possible for them to get to Oxford to live, through connections via coaches with boosters. What was covered in this report would have taken no where near 100 hours to give, it is my "opinion" that there is more "meat" that cannot be reported at this time...........

I know. Tunsil is such the victim.

The NCAA already had this info before the season. This info is not new.

The allegations aren't new but if those text and FB messages go two ways in discussing payment then its over, Freeze is done.

He admitted to asking a booster for cash and now he's snitching on himself. Don't forget that he's suing Tunsil.

So what, everything he's alleged has turned out to be accurate.

Let this sink in, Lindsey Miller is more honest than Hugh Freeze.

Remember this little tidbit:

"In addition, it was determined that Tunsil was not completely forthcoming when initially questioned by NCAA investigators regarding the loaner vehicles. He later corrected his account and since apologized."

I've actually met Mr.Miller. That guy is funny as hell. I would spend a 100 hrs taking to him just because he's so damn entertaining. Honestly Ole Miss you have nothing to worry about. I think the speed limit is a good analogy. Let's say speed limit is 70mph. Well I think most of us would confess that everybody speeds every now and then however, not everyone goes 120 while doing a 8ball.
