What if Saban never left LSU

Would he have had more success, less success or the same success at LSU
I say less. Not much better than his successor
Which leads me to believe that LSU may not be as great as the coonasses believe they are

IMO the difference in Saban vs Miles teams is discipline. So I believe LSU would've had Alabama type success.
But since this is an obvious troll.

What do you base this on?
Saban won the SEC beating #2 Tennessee in his 2nd year at LSU. He had the #1 recruiting class his 2nd class at LSU. Won a national title in his 4th year at LSU.
Do you remember those miles teams in 05-07? Absolutely stacked. The 05 team won the west, 06 team lost 4 first rounders then 07 wins the NC the next year. Saban would have had an epic stretch during that time
At bama he won the SEC a year later and an NC a year earlier. Pretty similar. He is simply the GOAT
I think Saban pulls in top classes and NCs just as much at LSU or any other top program. Now could they keep him is what separates them.
I don't think bama could have pulled Saban from LSU, but we were screwed when he left the NFL so early. Miles just reeled off 22 wins in his first 2 seasons
Alabama is what they are historically bc they care enough to go out and get, and keep, the GOAT of the era.
You think it's bc of instate talent and game day atmosphere?

I think he coudl have had equal talent if he stayed at LSU long term
He has a championship in 2003, and had the team set for 2005-2007 to be elite.
PLus he woudl be coaching in a league without SaBama
I think Les woudl have 1-2 more championships if he isn't competing against Saban.

saban won the natty at LSU and basically turned very unhappy with college football. he lost a lot of his intensity in coaching and recruiting. in life, sometimes success does that in the short run. his eyes were on the nfl.
after basically flopping in the nfl and realizing he couldn't control "things" the way he wanted to he was reenergized in his career. good for him.
I just wish the frick he'd of ended up in another fricking conference. he has cost my alma mater at least one natty and probably more.

What of the SEC rant never had Montgomery Hill, certainly less LSU obsessed posters if true.

You sure do start a lot of threads about LSU. What is it about the Tigers that has you so angry? I'm genuinely curious

LSU would have been at the top of the SEC and the top of the nation every year. Saban brought that to Alabama instead.
I'd like for Texas A&M to offer Saban king sized cash. But, I'm sure he'll retire from Bama.

What if Arkansas actually won a title? There's just some things in life we will never know...

I assume you are comparing to his success at Alabama?
I would say less success or at least that is my opinion

If Saban never left LSU, he'd be in charge of a program surrounded by insanely-devoted drunk fans with extremely high expectations for success, extremely low bars for failure, and prone to wild outbursts of braggadocio while slapping their school colors on every available surface.
God, what a nightmare that would have been for him. He sure dodged a bullet there.

I think he would have had less success than he has had at Bama, but LSU would have had more success than they have had under Miles.
And I like Miles as a coach.

Definitely less. Saban was a just above average coach until he met up with the REC. Take way the talent they got him and he would be a middle of the pack coach, if he still had a job right now. It's the talent that made his success at Bama and LSU wasn't handing him that much talent.

This makes so much sense considering all the recruiting and on the field success of the Bama coaches between Stallings and Saban. If Bama wasn't as great during that time, I'd say you were a tinfoil hat wearing crazy conspiracy believer.

We'd probably still be a averaging 3-4 losses a year. Can't win the SEC with 3 losses anymore.
