Will Alabama finish the regular season ranked in the Top 3?

Yay or nay?
The odds say yes when you look at recent history. The last time Alabama finished the regular season ranked outside the Top 3 is when they finished 9-3 and #16 in 2010. Since that time:
2011: Finished the regular season #2
2012: Finished the regular season #2
2013: Finished the regular season #3
2014: Finished the regular season #1
2015: Finished the regular season #2
Pretty good run.

Yes. As long as we don't implode at Quarterback. This defense will be 2011-good and might just be the best pass rushing team in America. This defense really isn't fair.

What an incredible run! I would bet against them this year. With four teams in the playoff they'd have to be in it to finish top three. And I'd put their odds of being in the playoffs at 40%.
I think this year they have about a 50% chance of winning the west. If they win it, I'd give them a 70% chance of winning the seccg. Multiplying those gives a 35% of winning the SEC. I think they need to win the SEC, but maybe bump their odds to 40% on the outside chance they don't win the SEC but make the playoffs anyway.
