Cant Argue with those out of Conference Schedules Well at least they can boost the stats for each of these 3 games. If i was a season ticket holder i wouldnt be happy.

5. Miss. State - Index: 2.00: South Alabama, played two Power 5 opponents in 2015 and lost by a combined 89 points, is the Bulldogs opener. Later in September, MSU travels to play UMass, 3-9 last year and with only nine returning starters, in Foxborough. By far, the toughest of the four games is a trip to Utah to face BYU. The non-conference finale is against Samford, a 6-5 FCS program.
9. Texas A&M - Index: 2.13: The opener is against Noel Mazzone's old school, UCLA. It's a home game, but it's far from a cakewalk. After that, it's much easier. All four games are at home. Prairie View A&M is a good FCS team with a talented QB Trey Green, but will be way undermanned. New Mexico State has won just seven games in the past three seasons, and UTSA round out the four-game non-conference slate.

That's what bottom feeders do, stack the non conference in wins to get to 6 and have a bowl bid.

So we are 9th with weakest non con schedule
But 3rd with toughest overall schedule
This is what we I the rant call a complete thread failure

We play a power 5 team and 3 cupcakes just like everyone else.

Baylor vs SMU Rice and NW State
Maryland vs FIU UCF and Howard
Both apparently have tougher non conference schedules than us

I know state does it every year since Greg Byrne took over and then Scott stricklin took over. Ensures bowl games and keeps the fans "optimistic"...

That is what happens when you are one of the worst teams in the conference. You play the good teams and avoid yourself.

Gotta make a bowl somehow.

@UMass lol
that's worse than their usual
@ Southern Miss last year
@ South Alabama in 2014
@ Troy in 2012
@ Memphis and @ UAB in 2011
@ Houston in 2010
@ Mid Tennessee State in 2009
@ Louisiana Tech in 2008
Honestly it's shocking that another SEC team could possibly have a weaker schedule than MSU
That rule that you must have a P5 school on your OOC schedule was created just for Mullen's Mississippi State. Mullen has made a career there of padding his record with 4 weak OOC games to make himself look good. IF you can count BYU as a "P5" school, this is only the 3rd time in Mullen's 7 years that they've played a P5 OOC team, and one of them was his first year in 2009 because it was already on the schedule and too late to back out of the game. But I don't blame him, he's 0-2 against real teams OOC regular season.

Is Scott Stricklin making it an internal requirement to schedule teams that were at one point in Conference USA? The SEC needs to address this like they did basketball.

Ole Miss has Wofford, Memphis, and GA Southern, of course you can't sleep on Memphis. I know, they've got the game with FSU, but we all know the reason they took that was to help offset their outside legal fees.

They played Oklahoma State as a non conference
game a few years ago....
Unfortunately their fans threatened their ADs life and he apologized for scheduling such a good team and that he would never do it again.
