Fact of the day: SEC BASEBALL WAY OVERRATED!

SEC is WAY overrated. Fact... that's it, no whining or complaining SEC fans. Look at the results!!! They had so many teams that had opportunities to make it and came up short on almost every single one. Especially when all those teams are HOSTING REGIONALS AND SUPER REGIONALS at home. That's about as overrated as you can get if nobody is winning.FACT!. If the Pac12/Big West had as many teams in regionals as SEC schools then you probably have the same amount of West Coast Schools in super regionals as SEC schools. If you throw enough crap against the wall, some of it will stick, much like the SEC showing this year. Definitely more like lack of success. The "strongest conference" with a boat load of teams to have chances to make it to Omaha... and you have ZERO so far. 1 team at best if they win tomorrow... OVERRRRRRRATED!!!

Fact of the day: baseball, especially a 3 game series can go any way. Next weekend they could have been complete opposite. This weekend they weren't which is what matters but baseball is a tough game to have a 3 game series cost you a trip to a World Series berth.

Can't argue with you this year. However the SEC owns Omaha recently.

I agree to an extent because even top teir teams have bad weeks for sure. my point is more about ALL the SEC teams flopping after being blown up elite/borderline untouchable status. I kinda blame SEC network for most of it. Beating their chest so loud when regionals were announced. That being said - I do like Florida though. They will make it tomorrow. Sec won't be shutout.

Has nothing to do with SEC being overrated. Just the way the games went. Hell Lousiville and Clemson lost series they shouldn't have. Again doesn't make them overrated.
OM losing our regional doesn't make us overrated. We lost 2 games at the very end of games that one pitch could have changed the entire thing.
Just the way sports are. People that take one weekend or one bowl season and make claim as they are 100% fact are the true idiots.
Look at the MLB draft. I don't know the exact numbers but I'm willing to say the SEC had the most of any conference drafted in the top 5 rounds.

Fact of the day: Your SEC envy is showing so bad. You are used to seeing the SEC dominate the CWS so finally something doesn't go well and you sign up, with 5 posts just to smack talk.

It was a little overrated..but "WAY OVERRATED!" is absolutely stupid. We had 5 teams host super regionals. Don't downplay that...they all earned it.
It's baseball and anything can happen in a 3 game series. That's what makes this sport so great.

And Cali kids Baseball is way underrated as of recent, despite a return to top form since the Ddedeaux/Gillispie USC & Winkles/Brock ASU days..
UCLA & Az recent CWS crowns..Fresneck miracle run to title..UCSB in this yr..CSF, LB St,UCI always dangerous..etc..
Oreg St with relatively recent b-2-b titles..

While I agree it was a weird weekend and more than likely the deeper teams did lose unexpectantly. I do think this will have an impact on next years field.
The ACC and SEC sent 17 teams to the tournament, they will send a combined 2 to the CWS. And the SEC possibly gets shut out, though that's unlikely. UF is a better team, and it's no longer the crazy weekend ; it's Monday and reality takes hold. And they would still be the favorites in Omaha , I believe.

the word overrated is overrated.
Obviolusly you have never played followed or watched baseball. Of all the major sports, it's the one that you cannot predict. Anything can happen in Baseball and we saw it in CBB this weekend

I said this 3 weeks ago and was killed for it. You had 7 decent teams and 7 BAD teams. The records were about the imbalance and all the wins coming against the bad teams than the good teams being great.
