A few observations about OM fans regarding NOA

Seems to be the prevailing beliefs that a. OM can't or won't be punished for actions of previous coaching staffs b. OM can't or won't be punished for actions of boosters. But here's the thing, yes you can and you most likely will be. Ask bama about boosters fricking up a program. You just had a NOA with like 5 level 1 infractions, including academic fraud with players that participated up to the 2014 season, numerous instances of boosters (sometimes facilitated directly by coaches on staff) providing benefits, lodging, cash, meals, etc.. for recruits and their families, years of this documented as an ongoing pattern. And that's not even including the apparently true bomb shells that the athletic department had some kind of recurring payment system going with tunsil for his and his moms bills, and several coaches trying to keep any depositions in the matter away from the ncaa. If you think you are getting away with only 11 scholarships lost, no bowl ban, no vacated wins, and no show causes, you are delusional.

FIFY
My favorite part of holding the company line is simply this.
It bothers every one of you mother frickers so god damn much. Post after post after post after post after post telling us what we are gonna get. Well gues what. You don't know what we will get. We don't know what we will get either. So instead of running around all doomsday "OMG we will neever field a team again" we just roll with it and watch everyone else clinch their assholes because they are all so pissy.
Have fun staying mad. Oh and Back2Back fricker

I don't think any OM folks believe that.
That (actions of a booster) was the reason Texas A&M football was placed on probation in the early 90s.
One of our boosters was found to have paid one of our players for summer work that he never actually did. It was argued (and successfully proven) that our coaches knew nothing about it; but the NCAA said not knowing was the problem (i.e., a lack of institutional control).
It's the reason we all drown in booster compliance factoids on every piece of correspondence we see, hear, and/or receive.

is the FBI involved yet?
Has SACs closed Ole Miss yet?
Put a flow chart together or I might not be able to see the novel approach Ole Miss has taken.
College football players have been getting paid for generations. Not sure why anyone cares whether some guy gets a loaner car, 800 dollars, etc

One thing is for sure, regardless of the punishment, Ole Mess will no longer be reeling in top 10 classes.

Actually 8 level 1 infractions. 4 under Nutt, 4 under Freeze. We do think most of the level 1 infractions under Freeze are ticky-tack. There are no direct cash payments to players.
Ole Miss is in really good position because of what Baylor did. The NCAA doesn't have the authority to sanction Baylor. That doesn't mean they won't, but they aren't going to be able to give Baylor what they deserve. (Penn State) Basically, they're going to have a PR nightmare if they hit us as hard for 16k worth of amateurism violation as they hit Baylor for criminal conspiracy to cover up rape.
This all comes down to the Tunsil situation. We appear to be stonewalling. If they catch us in a lie, we'll be sent back to the stone-age. If not, I think we'll lose a couple more scholarships than we suggested.
