If it's real, that's just stunning.

Good lord these people...

Baylor mods saying they have proof that some HS coaches are trying to act as "middle men" between commits and the Sip, TCU, and OU staffs. Talking about sending evidence to the NCAA. IMHO...our staff needs to stay away from this mess until there is a ruling from the NCAA.

We need to do the exact opposite.
I told you. I told you there were ways to contact these kids... I told you that our competition was in contact with these potential transfers at Baylor but you downplayed it and said it was "against the rules". Well they are. Because: frick the rules. And they're going to get them and get away with it. You watch.
NEWSFLASH: other scools don't follow the rules because you don't have to. The NCAA has been neutered and is a paper tiger that will do nothing about this.
Our competition will get all of these players and we will get nothing, and be told to like it, as always.
Your attitude of weakness and meek rule-following is the same as our fanbase at large, unfortunately. The reason we never win is that institutionally we don't want it bad enough and aren't mean enough to go take it. No killer instinct. Sad.

Ray and Ellen Deaver, Gale and Connie Galloway, Rondy and Jackie Gray, Jim and Bell Hawkins, Claude and Becky Lindsey, Paul and Carol McClinton, and Danny and Lenn Prince can ALL go frick themselves.

We're in like top 5 all time for most NCAA infractions. Those who actually have influence on the program definitely don't have the attitude you described

Do you think these kids are worth it? I think people still believe that Pat Hudson is an "Elite" prospect, but he dropped among all scouting agencies. There were very few 5* recruits (any service) from Texas last year. Ed Oliver (UH), Eric Fowler (tu), Gregory Little (Ole Miss), and Justin Madubuike (A&M) were the only guys from the state.
I could see Pat Hudson eventually playing, but we had a pretty solid recruiting class. Kellen Diesch, Austin Anderson, and Riley Anderson were all in the same caliber as Hudson. We also have tons of talent on campus and we currently have the commitment of Grayson Reed.
I'd love Devin Duvernay too, but let's wait and see if this coaching staff feels it is worth taking his brother too and missing out on a more talented transfer or 2017 commit.

Your worldview comes across as completely out of touch in this thread. Everyone has the right to their opinion. But your hostile attitude towards anyone that doesn't place winning above all else is probably best served in a thread not about a school doing this exact thing with disastrous results.

think it was also in the Waco Trib. Not sure about any other papers but it clearly wasn't some prank which is fricking scary.
Between this, Starr's interviews, and the new Prez issuing a long email saying they wouldn't release the PH report "out of privacy concerns for victims" (and is this the first time victims have even been mentioned by a Baylor admin), it really makes you wonder if they learned anything from this at all.

They're going to learn to not get caught next time around.

I think they did.
"We have to cut corners to win."
Ole Miss came to the same conclusion.

I dunno who Joe Schad is working for now but he posted this on his facebook. Specific names involved mentioned, including Jeff Lebby, who for those that don't know, is Art's son in law

BREAKING: Former Baylor student Dolores Lozano comes forward, tells me she was assaulted by former football player Devin Chafin, that head coach Art Briles knew and that she exchanged texts at the time with current assistant Jeff Lebby about the details, while trying to decide if she should go to police. The details and the alleged assault photograph here...
Baylor graduate Dolores Lozano says former Baylor running back Devin Chafin assaulted her three times and multiple coaches, including former head coach Art Briles and current passing game coordinator/running backs coach Jeff Lebby and multiple other Baylor employees, had knowledge, but did not take sufficient action.
According to a statement of facts prepared by Lozano's attorneys, Chafin "slapped," "kicked," "slammed Lozano against the wall," and "choked Lozano until she lost feeling in her body," in March of 2014.
Lozano states in April of 2014, Chafin "slammed" her against a vehicle.
Later in April of 2014, Lozano alleges Chafin "forcibly and aggressively grabbed" her and "slammed" her "to he ground."
Lozano has provided multiple photos that were also provided to police, allegedly taken at the time of incidents, which appear to show large bruises on her left arm and shoulder.
Lozano states that after the first incident, she reported what happened to Chafin's mother and Lebby, who is still on Baylor's coaching staff.
Lozano says she exchanged text messages with Lebby about the alleged incident, while trying to decide if she should go to Waco police. She also claims "Chafin's mom urged her "not to report the issue to police."
Lozano says she also brought the matter to LaPrise Williams, Baylor acrobatics and tumbling coach at the time of the alleged incidents.
Lozano says Williams asked her about the bruising. She says Williams reported it to her superior, Nancy Post.
Lozano claims Williams also reported the alleged assault to Baylor Chaplain Wes Yeary and counsellors at Baylor.
Lozano states that Chafin, with whom she had a dating relationship, told her Briles had been made aware of the alleged assaults and had told Chafin to "stay away" from Lozano.
Yet, Lozano says Chafin never even faced a formal student judiciary hearing or faced any serious discipline.
Less than two weeks after an alleged assault, Lozano brought allegations to Waco Police, in April of 2014. But Chafin was allowed to play after the alleged incidents, rushing for 1,256 career yards and 21 touchdowns.
Chafin was recently dismissed by Baylor. He has been arrested and charged with marijuana possession.
"Baylor turned their backs to what was going on," said Ricky Patel, Lozano's attorney. "The University is a place where people are supposed to feel safe. When something like this happens, it breaks your trust."
Lozano is planning to soon file a Title IX lawsuit against Baylor, as others already have.
"Dolores has tried hard to get past this, but believes it's important for others to know they can seek help," Patel said. "This should send a message to those in power to provide help to those who need it."

just something for Baylor fans to learn

Based on timeline and the information of this event, this appears to be the same person from the OTL story
That's from Jan so maybe they did after the fact. But it may be why Lebby hasn't been fired yet.
Text messages are fairly easy to prove so my guess is Lebby is suspended in the next day or so while they investigate and will be terminated.

In one of the recently discovered cases, an alleged victim who was a Baylor student told Outside the Lines that she notified football team chaplain Wes Yeary about what she had reported to Waco police in April 2014: that her boyfriend, a Bears football player, had physically assaulted her on two occasions. The woman said Briles and university president Ken Starr were also told of her allegations. The woman told Outside the Lines that neither Briles nor the university disciplined her ex-boyfriend.
The woman told Outside the Lines she didn't press criminal charges against him because she was about to graduate and didn't think the school would punish him. She said investigators from Pepper Hamilton have not contacted her.

Look for Art Briles' daughter to start a twitter/facebook war/campaign against Miss Lozano very soon if her husband is implicated.
