Here's some truth for you. aTm can win every game we play for the next decade, and still be under .500 against Arkansas.

We've haven't lost to Arky since 2011, so I'd imagine he needs that one.

Considering how we've blown chances to beat both State and A&M the past two years and have choked each time, he probably needs to get those two off the board.

LSU fans are so arrogant

You're not as important as you think you are. Beating LSU is nice but it does not make our season.

well, for one, he better not choke against that burning dump that is a&m.

A&M matches up very well with Arky this year and it is neutral site. Not sure this ought to be your benchmark game.

we're gonna find us a badass Dutch kickboxer to be our kicker during our Eurocamp this summer.

He'll smoke cigarettes while on the field and tote around sixers of Heineken on the sidelines and if any pissant underclassmen DB's get to talking too much trash in the games he'll simply axe kick them in the gut on kickoff returns rub his bulbous sack on their chest.

Such a stupid statement too considering Houston Nutt got fired right after beating #1 LSU. If all we really cared about was beating LSU then he would have still had a job. Not that hard to put together.

If LSU beat Arkansas 31-14 last season Bert's seat is on fire coming into this year.

Do you think you'll get that level of play again this season from Austin Allen? I mean Brandon made a monumental jump from his sophomore and junior seasons.

probably not but who knows last april people were saying brandon sucks, etc. so it's not like things are set in stone in april on how people will perform during the season.

eta: may not april, holy holy i'm living a week ago.

Any kind of winning season + a bowl and Bert will be fine. They lost a lot from last year's team, expectations will not be high.

Yes, but only because if its the same sort of LSU team as last year then he should be in trouble. Y'all aren't up to the Toledo standard right now so a loss against you looks bad.

Work on it.

Hog fans have been remarkably patient with Bert. Any guesses on which games he needs to win in order to get another season at Arkansas?

All of them. Expectations higher than Bert's wedding night.

I think there will be a lot of growing pains on the offensive side, especially the offensive line. A new coach and 3 new starters that all have to gel together, along with 2 RB's returning from injury and a true freshman rb, and a brand new starter at qb who hasn't really had any significant playing time.

We usually start off the season very slowly and all of the above makes matters a little worse than it should be.

Lucky for us there is already film on us...cupcakes out the gate and no reason to be vanilla.

One of the top WR groups in the league

QB with one year of development under Enos

Mackey Award potential TE

Studly young RB talent

I don't worry about OL under Bert

I do expect our receivers to be monumentally better this year than they were for Brandon's sophomore season so that should help. OL is still a work in progress though. Won't go anywhere without a good OL.

Even if our offensive output dips a little our defense should be a lot better to make up for it some
