It's the exact same situation on a larger scale.
Person makes a mistake, another person takes advantage of that mistake to deliberately hurt the individual.
Take off the Ole Miss hate glasses and look at it with an open mind.

Not at all. I feel bad for him. I would HATE to think I lost millions of dollars because I made a poor decision. But I won't call him a victim because he lost money based upon his own actions.

When you and you alone furnish the conditions for the attack, you aren't a victim. You play stupid games you win stupid prizes.
Tunsil made a mistake. Hopefully he'll learn from it and move on. If he doesn't then he'll likely get hurt again for being a dumbass.

So she's not a victim? If she had never gone out and broke the law by underage drinking, she wouldn't have been raped right? Stupid games, stupid prizes right?

Listen, you don't event think an instagram message can be faked. I don't really take anything you say seriously now, because that's just hilarious.

Never said that. You said you could do it "right now." I'm still waiting.

I said that when I thought it was a text message. You were correct that it was an instagram DM. I could do it, but I don't really want to as it would take a bit longer than faking a text message. Doesn't mean it can't be done or it's not easy.
It's just not easy for me

Two way street, my friend. You think monetary damages are equal to rape...so yeah.

No I don't? Show me where I said that. Don't be so obtuse.

I'm still not sure he even realized what questions he answered

I notice you left this part out.

And that part.
But yeah, I totally believe that rape is equal to recording yourself smoking pot. Entire point of my thread.

Yes, Tunsil is a victim of sorts but the way I look at it karma caught up with his cheating. Basically when you are behaving badly you create an a negative environment that will eventually have a negative impact on your life.

Of course he's a victim. The gasmask video is a kid smoking pot while in college. Without the gasmask and bong it doesn't look as bad.

What cheating has he done that has been proven? What negative environment did Tunsil have BEFORE this all happened?

I'm not saying I'm right or wrong, but you are horrible at arguing a point . Constantly jumping from analogy to analogy. Contradicting yourself by saying things like "on a larger scale" and "exact same situation" in the same damn sentence. I get that you are arguing this side to get some attention. No one is saying what the hacker did was right. But you have to be dumb to not understand how this issue stems from Tunsil's lack of judgment.

The causal nexus between the illegal act and harm is more attenuated in that scenario than this one.
Here, Tunsil knowingly allowed a video recording of him smoking weed in an age where short video clips comprise a significant chunk of all social media. When you take this kind of video as a local celebrity, you simply have to assume it will eveytually get widely released. If you don't then you're just not thinking.
Conversely, underage girls who go have a drink at a bar should not categorically presume they are about to get drugged by the first charming guy they meet. Experience hasn't taught us this at all. It's nowhere close to reality.

You ever been drunk and acted dumb in high school or college?
Actually, no. I have never been a drinker nor have I taken drugs. However, I am aware that makes me a very rare individual. (Maybe the only one alive! )

Let's say you're applying for a job, get an interview, and show up to said interview and the first thing that happens is your employer mentions they received an anonymous email with a link to a video of you underage drinking and acting like a dumbass. They still want to hire you, but your offer is now 30% less.
I think I would feel the same. I have done/said things that I feel badly about. They were brought to a boss' attention by someone else, and I got into trouble for it. I didn't really blame the person that went to the boss, because I knew I was in the wrong. Now, I admit I didn't feel all warm and rosy toward the person that turned me in, but I knew ultimately I was to blame.
I know you probably won't believe me or accept this as a suitable answer, but it's all I have.
Don't misunderstand...from the standpoint somebody did something that cost Tunsil money, I see where he could be perceived as a victim. However, from the perspective that he lost money because of what HE did on the video and not because a video was posted.....I look at it as if he did it to himself. Sorry. I respect your opinion and won't criticize you for it, though. Hey...we all have opinions.
