so Tunsil's mom had the means to move her family from Georgia to Oxford but couldn't afford to pay her light bill? I would imagine this assistance plan is need based.

doesn't mean pay your family's bills. Give your Pell check or whatever to your parents if you want. But Athletic officials cannot pay the bills for a student's parent. Period.

pank, You know I like you as a poster but you know what was really awesome last night? You started the official SECrant draft thread feeling giddy and ready to gloat about ole miss having (3) 1st rounders and LT probably going as high as 3rd. Hugh was going to give ole miss exposure on draft night. LT would be first SEC players taken. Ole miss was set to be toast of the town.

Tunsil has to fill out a form to get that- why hasnt OM published that to stop all this piling on everyone is doing?????
They are waiting for him to get back to Oxford to fill it out is why. How many of those forms have been emailed to Sexton this morning?

Student assistance goes through the compliance department of EVERY athletic department, not by texting a coach. I'm sure an athletic department as elite as Mississippi would give their student athletes an orientation as to how obtain financial assistance. I'm also sure it isn't done by texting a coach and asking for light bill money. If you really think the light bill was paid through Student Assistance, then why wouldn't UM be scrambling to show proof of such documentation?
