Something I learned from another site - Spin the truth

quote:

There is something known as an "opportunity fund" to help players in financial need. Any money players receive is on a need basis and is part of the opportunity fund. There is also Pell Grant money and federal assistance funds players can apply for in times of need. Miller, Barney Farrar and Tom Luke help players attain these monies by helping them fill out the proper forms. All monies from these funds has to be approved through compliance.

That is not what his answer during the interview implied

"was it an exchange between you and your coach of money"

"I'd have to say yeah"

He also made it very clear that the messages were real and that they were a mistake. If it was just for a pell grant he wouldn't have called it a mistake.

Spin away

The first sentence of your explanation shoots your theory down immediately. Keep reaching though.

Mom's $300 water bill? Quite an "opportunity" fund.

So the "oppurtunity fund" is the way Ole Miss was able to hide funneling money to players?

Thanks for digging this up!
