After watching the video, I don't think that he understood the question he was answering. Do I think he ever got paid while he was in college? Hell yea, just like every other start D1 player. But I don't think that he knew what he was saying in the moment in his PC. I think he was ready to admit to smoking weed, but didn't know about the conversation screenshots, which I think are probably BS. Way too much cliche about "light bills" and what not in those.

It doesn't matter if he was confused about weed, bongs, instagram, etc.
He was asked if he was paid money by his coaches and he answered yeah.

It's pretty obvious that he was confused about something. His answers really didn't make any sense. I think he was aware the instagram situation occurred but was not aware of the contents, and he probably assumed it was the weed video being uploaded there and that's what he was answering questions about.
I mean 10 seconds before answering the one about taking money, he said he wasn't paid.

How can you read those texts and not come away thinking they're 100% true.
If you want to be cliche and frame someone, you would be much more to the point than those awkward conversations.
I don't disagree with your main point that he was confused in the presser, but I have no doubt those texts are legit.

He acknowledged that both his twitter and instagram account had been hacked.
At :42 seconds they ask him about the pictures with the conversation with John miller and hugh freeze and he said "Right, I made a huge mistake". He wasn't talking about the weed video
Then at 2:38 he admits again that the messages were true even after someone asked him if they were fake, he says at first exactly and then says "oh those messages, no those were true and he made a big mistake. Then they ask him if that exchange between him and his coach was about money he said "I'd have to say yea."
So in short, ole miss is f*cked because Hughes name was in there as well.
