It's amazing how many criticized AL for paying Saban 5 mil a year a few years ago. Paid for itself hundreds of times over.

Regardless of how it happened, Texas A&M's revenue was $83 million more than its expenses. The next closest was Florida at $22 million

i was wondering why he got upvotes for that, i would hope everyone knew that expenses are taken out of revenue to get profit/loss. that wasn't your point, i, for one, got it.

That revenue # you are using is not sustainable and you know it. It is propped up due to Kyle field donations and seat licensing.
Everyone on here knows it. I would still sell the hell out of it though if I was A&M because the common follower doesn't care enough to research it and will believe it as the norm if sold correctly. Not their fault that folks don't research.

The revenue number is much more sustainable than you think.
The dollar amount is not the problem.

So you are taking all that profit and turning it around to......academics? Intramurals? Where is it going?

Freeze is 2-2 against the Aggies after 3 games in Oxford and 1 game in College Station.
Percentage wise, Ole Miss pays over twice as much of their revenue to their Head Coach than the Texas Aggies.
Maybe that will help you understand why it is good to have high revenues. It all goes back to fan support.

LSU has spent more money on it's football coaching staff since Sumlin has been at A&M than A&M has spent on its football coaching staff, and yet the results are pretty much identical.
2012 - Loss to LSU
2013 - Loss to LSU
2014 - Loss to LSU
2015 - Loss to LSU
Doesn't seem very identical

LSU bases its football success on the result of the A&M game. Explains why y'all unfired Les after you beat us.
