What I find fascinating is that our perception of memory is imperfect and incomplete. It's constantly degrading and making things up to fill in the gaps, and on top of that our brain chemistry is never constant. So eternity of what mind and consequently what version of yourself exists in the afterlife? Could you find yourself with your child-like sensibilities? Without the dopamine drive, an earthly reward system that might not have a place in eternity, would beer even be enjoyable?
