Again, sorted by last appearance

Alabama: 2015 74 Total
Mississippi St: 2014 5 Total
LSU: 2011 30 Total
Auburn: 2010 9 Total
Florida: 2009 41 Total
Georgia: 2008 15 Total
Missouri: 2008 2 Total
Tennessee: 1998 18 Total
Ole Miss: 1968 5 Total
Arkansas: 1965 1 Total
Texas A&M: 1957 7 Total
South Carolina: 0 Total
Kentucky: 0 Total
Vanderbilt: 0 Total

Interesting Notes:
-Exactly half of the SEC teams have been #1 at least once in the past decade.
-All five of Mississippi State's appearances came in 2014. Hell of a year for the Bulldogs.
-Alabama has been #1 in nearly 7% of all released rankings.

Feel free to add more.

It is baseball season.

We don't have time for these offseason threads.

Crazy to think MSU was No. 1 just two years ago and now will finish last in their own division this year.

Making it count: ratio of total weeks #1 to AP NC (i.e., final week #1):

Auburn: 2/9 = 22% (Hard to believe Auburn only has 9 total weeks at #1, but the 22% shows how they capitalize. Another stat that shows Auburn has a tendency towards boom or bust seasons)

A&M: 1/7 = 14.3% (only title was in 1939, that was a long time ago)

Alabama: 10/74 = 13.5%

Tennessee: 2/18 = 11.1%

Florida: 3/41 = 7.3%

LSU: 2/30 = 6.7%

UGA: 1/15 = 6.7&

All others 0% (not AP titles)

Technically, LSU was preseason #1 in 2012 for a few days before they took a 2nd preseason vote after Honey Badger was dismissed from the team.
