Softball needs some love.

They are off to a hot start.
They won the Aggie classic (4-1 record) with wins over #7 UCLA, Wichita St (2x), & Colorado St. They only loss came from the rematch with #7 UCLA.
Then there we've gone 12 (about to be 13) in a row with ranked wins over #16 Central Fl, #9 Washington, & #10 Arizona.
Preseason Polls has us 24/RV and now we are up to 14/16 with a good chance to move up more on Tuesday. I think that is when polls come out.

Do we have a good/dominant pitcher? Seems like that's all you need to be good in softball.

I believe our freshman, Show, has the most wins in college softball. She is also a great hitter. She was tied for the home run lead with 4 before this weekend. We also still have Katie Marks and have a new transfer in Trinity Harrington. The game announcers said Ober is also an option, but she is playing in the outfield right now.

You need a really good one and a pretty good one as backup. Kentucky learned that in past WCWS when they were up on Baylor and possibly headed to the Finals up 7 on the Bears, their pitcher was great, but worn out with no relief in backup. Bears won in one of the bigger comebacks in WCWS history.
Alabama had the J Train but her backup was serviceable enough to give her some needed breathers and they won it all. Lot of good pitching in the SEC all around tho.
Big girls need love too, and Gators and Georgia teams both had a few players that looked like O linemen. Gators big hitter when they won the WCWS was big girl indeed, looked a little Downs Syndrome to boot, but she had lots of heart and got good crowd love.

She threw 7 perfect games against my high school when she played for East Bernard. Pretty sure they won state her junior or senior year. Shes a beast. Got into some UIL controvery but glad shes an Ag.

A&M needs to take it all this year. Next year LSU picks up the state's top pitcher (Maribeth Gorsuch out of Lewisville HS) and they're already top 5.

This is hopefully the last year LSU pulls crap like this, now that they will have to tone things down with TOPS.
12/23 players are from LA (I bet almost none of them are on scholarship, because of TOPS).
