You have to have success in order to maintain it. Bama has maintained it under Saban. Auburn has had success, but inconsistent. LSU has had success, but does not maintain it.. UGA, UT, and others have NOT had success, so they can not maintain it.

Better to have loved and lost, then to not have loved.

Although your post doesn't address the thread's question, it does offer an interesting perspective.

UGA never seems to catch that lightning, maybe it isn't as easy as you claim. They seem more apt to stick their finger in a light socket and call it lightning.

The only part of Auburn's last 7 years that is strange is the 3-9 debacle in 2012. Everything else makes sense. Again, if 3-9 had been 7-5, would we be having this discussion?

2009 : 8-5
2010 : 14-0
2011 : 8-5
2012 : 7-6
2013 : 12-2
2014 : 8-5
2015 : 7-6

It'd be a program, like a lot of others, that has peaks and valleys.

Didn't UT win a title during the BCS era? Doesn't that make them equal with Auburn during that era? But Auburn has had success and UT hasn't?

Yea, but Auburn's was 6 years ago. Tennessee's was 18 years ago. Pretty big difference in time period there.

Auburn also had 3 SEC championships in that time too.

But to say UT has never had success is just plain wrong. They were a very good program until about 2005 or so when the wheels starting coming off.

Yea, that would be silly. Tennessee was a Top 10 program from 1995-2004

Pretty amazing we've fluked our way into playing UGA pretty much dead even over the course of 120+ years.

that never gets the breaks,

Plays in the weakest SEC division in history for 3 years, can't win it, cries about breaks.

You don't get breaks when you get run out of the stadium anytime you come up against elite competition.

Every post of yours is exposing a mental flaw now. No one said it was easy to get hit by lightning. Where lightning lands is completely random, or in another word, flukish.

What do you call it when lightening hits three times (2004,2010,2013) in 10 years ? If a man gets hit that many times in a short period, I bet he doesn't think it is random or flukish.

Not many posts expose the cluelessness of a poster quite like this one does.

You just can not admit that if a team that has two undefeated seasons and plays for what should have been three NCs in ten years, is not some flash in the pan . I'm enjoying how you alibi AUs success and deny that UGA is the most underachieving team in College Football. Keep it up, it makes my day.

He wouldn't even admit the other day that UGA underachieved in 2008 despite 15/22 of their starters getting drafted.

They don't cheat, as well as, Bama. The one time they did recently they won it all.

We cheat a hell of a lot better than Bama. We haven't been on probation in over 20 years in football.
