A lot of us did not think the turnaround would be this quick

There was plenty.

I didn't think he was a terrible hire. It was a high risk/high reward hire though, largely because of the recruiting aspect (and the rules around it) vs. NBA style team management. I still want to see how well he recruits before I say it's a slam dunk, but the coaching end of its he done well (I didn't really question that though).
