Yup. Also had to eek out the W after a step out on floor caused a .1 deduction... needed a 9.8, got 9.9 - the deduction (after they realized it).. win by .05.

Not impressed with the GymDogs this year... beam has been abysmal.

Interesting fact.... tonight Alabama and Auburn both scored 196.775
had they faced each other, Auburn would have come the closest ever to ending the streak.
Alabama's next meet? Auburn Arena.

Why don't you and UF combine your NCAA Championships and maybe if one you win this year you can say you have as may as the Gym Dogs.
Wins and losses don't matter anyway its avg score for the year.

Been following ladies gymnastics and UF was ranked # 1 and had an unbelievable meeting with # 5 Bama last week at the O Dome with 9,000 fans watching....Lady Gators scored 3 perfect scores of 10 by different ladies.
Last night was so different...hard to get pumped on the road and as mentioned, UGA didnt really perform that well except on the floor exercise....after an out of bounds deduction I thought the Gator had won...but Chinese math was used?
Home crowds influence judges....lets face it....but congrats to the lady dawgs.
Bridgett Sloan, an AA senior, hurt herself on the floor exercise but came back to do well on the balance beam. We are usually money on gymnastics but were not last night.
Those of you who sneer at ladies sports are crazy...watch these women compete for their schools and gymnastics takes a lot more skill & agility than football imo.

They said that last night, and it wasn't true. We already had a 196.4 after our first five girls had gone. If our last girl would have made a score below 9.875 we just wouldn't have counted it. It was terrible math by the SECN people.
We suck on the beam and have for years, but our floor routines were awesome last night.

Well we screwed it up on the beam after building a big lead going into the last rotation, but your girls had to nail their floor routines and they did!
Pretty cool to see SEC gymnastics filling these venues with 10k plus fans.

quote:I wish the Florida Gym would fall. That building is preventing the Gators from expanding Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. They can't tear the gym down because it's a "historic" building, even though it's only from like the 1950s and is kind of ugly.

Interesting. Probably just trying to create additional drama... sensationalist journalism... even in sports. Gotta love it.
