Is DL a real need this year? I think the depth is still pretty good. We're going to find out what guys like Donnelly, Robinson and Evans can do this year.

We are great now but we do lose a lot on the line. Haynes is probably gone. Then Issac, DJ, Brown and Youngblood. That's 5 big loses and who knows how long we will keep Speaks around. Where would you look at the greatest need? LB?

Keldrick Carper

6' 3". Cb. From Lousianna who is pissed LsU never offered and wants to play in the Sec so he can play them and beat them as quoted after recent Georgia visit. Well what better than Ole Miss Their rival who plays them every year .

Not many 6' 3 corners out there we need to be all over this

Yeah seems like gebbia is going to Nebraska to pair up with Keyshawn.

Probably will announce next week.

Sorry to go back a bit, but does anyone have any more to add to this? I haven't seen anything indicating Gebbia was leaning Huskers currently and/or going to commit early. Makes sense for a QB to commit early, but I haven't found much from free sources or Scout.

He narrowed it down to Nebraska and us 2 weeks ago. Then making visits to both in one week. Both staffs will want him to commit earlier so they can set up class or move to the next guy.

On top of his best buddy commuting to his dad's old coach in mike Riley at Nebraska.

Call it an educated guess but I say he commits before April 10th

Seems like Gebbia wasn't blown away this past weekend....or he was scared off by the talent he saw. Just committed to Nebraska and I don't think he has even visited yet.

Tis the Patterson Effect I imagine.

Had that feel to it.

Tua tagoliva
Lindell stone
Myles Brennan in that order

( looks like that saint. coach might need to eat his fricking words when we sign his qb)

Haven't looked at who we lose after this season, definitely need to continue to stock talent. Glad we're there with the DL. OL and receivers as well. I was thinking CB and LB as the biggest need.

the fact that college coaches found Plain Dealing Academy paints me a picture of how sophisticated and elaborate the recruiting cycle has gotten. Talk about another bfe about an hour from where I'm from, similar to Devin White's hometown.

He's pissed that LSU's former wr coach, Tony Ball, verbally embarrassed him at a camp on top of not being offered. Tony Ball was completely worthless and maybe Les' laziest hire (and that's saying something). Thank God we hired Craig.

LSU seems to think he might get an offer down the road, but it's a wait and see deal.

On a similar note this recruiting cycle doesn't feel like there's nearly as many LSU-Ole Miss head-to-head recruitments as we've normally seen

Talked to Kain Daub ( Former 5* LB) He is Currently at a Juco school that Gilbert Pena is coaching at. He is down to Us, Ms State, Akron and New Mexico. He graduates in June and is immediately eligible. He says Pena talks to Freeze from time to time about Him. He is wanting to set up a visit and asked me on twitter to help him set up a visit. What's the deal? That's a lot of talent and a position of need. Surely we can beat out them other schools. Let the kid Visit. Also said he didn't wanna go thru the whole recruiting game again. He wants someone to give him that 2nd chance. I'm not sure what he did in the 1st place though @ FSU

You would think it would be better for Coach Pena to set it up with CHF. I agree that out of those schools Ole Miss would be the best place since it is an SEC school and have a need.

That's what I thought. He was released from FSU for an injury. Look up his highlights. He looks like a shark.

Bill Conides apology to st Stan and Ole Miss

Guess he realized how idiotic it is as a high school coach to alienate the flagship school.

Hopefully, the communication with Myles Brennan gets better now because of his coaches dumbass social media jab, he will have to answer questions on this topic all through out his recruitment.

Conides is a fricking idiot that was pressured by his administration to apologize even though he doesn't mean it. If he really didn't mean it he would have immediately said something and the news paper article would have been about how sorry he was,and how it was in the heat of the moment. Instead he basically bragged about it and was later forced to apologize. frick him!

I agree . The quotes to the paper immediately afterwards told me all I needed.

But we may need his qb. When we strike out on tua tagoliva and lyndell stone.

But at this point I'm almost done with the whole school.
Just find another qb out there.

We shouldn't punish players because of their coach. And we definitely need dl this class. We need at least 8 guys SEC ready to play significant minutes every year and that's not taking into account injuries. I'd like to see us evolve from desperately trying to fill need to stockpiling talent in recruiting. Hit all the position groups every year.
