Does anyone feel like Aaron Murray was criminally underrated just because he couldn't win the game that actually mattered?

Where's Jeremy Johnson?
Posted on 1/19/16 at 2:09 pm to DBU
No. Andre Woodson and Connor Shaw are criminally underrated

He was like a chokier David Greene.

Cam & Tebow
End of discussion.

The kid who left college with the most wins by a starting qb was a choker? That's the dumbest thing I've read in a looong time on here. And that's saying something with all the fricking UT alters running around

You should be careful calling posts dumb when you didn't even understand the post yourself.

See ... that's just nuts that anyone would buy that.
There is no way in hell that anyone is going to be convinced that all 11 of those QBs had a better overall year than Connor Shaw had in 2013.

True
However, David Greene was not a very good comparison to Aaron Murray.

Shaw did have a great year that year and what's even crazier is his career Passer efficiency rating puts him in the top 10 all time SEC QB.

2013 was actually his best year. He got killed statistically by losing Mitchell, Bennett, JSW, Conley, Gurley, and Marshall for at least large chunks of the season.

When you aren't allowed to throw the ball further than seven yards, these kinds of things can happen.

For the exception of Brandon Allen, I would take all those quarterbacks over Connor shaw.

Really?
- 3 Heisman Trophy winning seasons
- 2012 AJM : #1 nationally in QB Rating, #1 in TD to INT ratio, #2 in YPA, #17 in completion %
- 2012 Aaron Murray : #2 nationally in QB Rating, #1 in YPA
There are 5 right there
Shaw had a great 2013, but :
#39 completion %
#16 YPA
#10 overall rating
He had an incredible TD/INT ratio, but his other numbers were very good but not Top 5.

LSU and Bama only schools with two different QBs on the list

AJ McCarron finished #2 in the nation in Yards Per Attempt in 2012.
So, you are wrong.
