Probably because that's the only trophy y'all ever got j/k. When you get too many of them they start getting knocked over and broken and you need something less fragile.
The new one looks more like the Lombardi, which is second only to the Stanley Cup.

Yeah the coaches poll started awarding the trophy in '86 (someone correct me if I'm wrong?). It just happened to be the main trophy of the BCS is all too. But since the CFP conducts it's own poll and has its own trophy, the AP, Coaches, and multiple other trophies are still awarded each year, just not on the field.

Come on, guys. Who doesn't want to display a Vagina Bat Signal in their trophy case?

Agree. The new trophy looks like a pen holder that I have on my desk.

Well there are nine of them on display between Tuscaloosa, Baton Rouge, Auburn, Knoxville, and Gainesville. Nearly everyone in the southeast should be within driving distance if you'd like to see one.

It even looked awkward when they picked it up.

Like Marie Barone's vagina sculpture...
Agreed. They should try to incorporate the crystal ball somehow into a new iconic Playoff NC trophy.

And Austin, Norman, Miami and Tallahassee. But they don't count.....

The crystal ball was way better.

Actually there are more than that. They allowed schools to have one for any Coaches Poll NC they won prior to 1986
