Strictly on personalities alone going with Dabo would be the polar opposite end of the spectrum. Saban is all business, all the time. Never get excited about anything. "The Process". Dabo never shuts the hell up and gets excited about everything. He's bound to say or do something stupid and controversial at some point.

I feel like Bama hiring Dabo would be like a dad gifting his Z06 Corvette to his 16 year old son. The son always wanted it, is understandably thrilled and eventually is going to do something stupid to frick it up and everyone else will laugh at him.

In answer to the OP, it's a moot point. Saban's ascension following his retirement will signal the rapture.

Don't know about that, a lot of coaches don't wanna deal with our crazy fanbase.

Congrats on a fantastic defensive coordinator hire btw. Coach Miles hit a homerun.

All big fanbases have their crazies. Hard to argue with the success that Saban has had that their will be a line of top coaches wanting that job especially with the resources available. Miles just may have saved his job for a few years with this new hire. Have to wait and see.

If Dabo were to become The Man, Bill would have sit him down and say, "Mr. Swinney, you must leave the goofy shite behind."

And he would have to change his name to Demond. Demond Swinney.

It should be "Would Bama fans be happy with Dabo..."

Just because your football program is in shambles is no reason to be sloppy with your punctuation and capitalization. You can still take pride in yourself.

If he wins, I'd stay at Clemson. He'll be a God.

You don't want to follow Saban.
