I think Bama could have a solid season or 2 on auto-pilot, ala Dallas with Switzer.

At some point they would require a real coach to keep it going.

Who is that guy, in your opinion?

Purely hypothetical to satisfy my curiosity, but inb4 :wishfulthinking:

They'd probably rather have Dabo than Spurrier.

Not true. Dabo would be like the 4th coming of Christ. We also had Bear and Nicholas.

Kiffin would do to Bama what he did to USC.

He inherited backbreaking sanctions at usc.

Bad comparison.

Hard to say.

I figure we'd steal Smart back away from UGA ;)

Kidding, kidding. Honestly, I have NO idea. It's possible whomever his replacement will be has not yet started making waves, and might still be an assistant somewhere or just starting their HC career at a mid-major.

If it's soon, I'd say Herman and possibly Patterson.

If it's later, we'd likely consider McElwain and Smart if they have solid success (although Smart would probably not leave UGA if successful).

I would not mind looking at the pros again for a HC either.

I'd imagine Dabo gets the first call. After that, I don't have any clue because it's too far out right now.

There's nobody out there who could maintain what Saban does year in and year out.
