But he won't stay at Bama over 3 years.
*this board when he was hired*
When has this board ever been right?

We can complete your training later. Now go out to the car and wax on in circles one way and wax off in circles the other way

He made over half a million in bonuses in 2012.
Total bonuses for Saban and his staff for 2012, including several members of the support staff, came to $1,460,000.

Didn't Bama boosters pay off nick's mortgage and bad investments above and beyond his salary?

Nah, those were Texas boosters.

Yep, they know how to make smart investments as well.

I wholly believe that the bloated coaches salaries are where the majority of 'cruiting cash comes from.

I wish we paid players. Ole Miss is making it rain.

Isn't Saban making 7.5 mil per? He makes more than enough of course minus the bonuses and no I don't think it's very common in the business what he's doing. Harbaugh was offered 7 mil per but only took 5 from Michigan so his assistants could make more, Spurrier always took less money also so his staff could get better pay.

Someone needs to help pay for the players other than the boosters. I would imagine the payroll is getting pretty bulky.
Boosters generally do not pay for them.

Something like that. He started off at $4 million and people acted like we were crazy. Saw a video a week or so ago where President Bell said Saban was the best investment the university has ever made.

If boosters don't pay then who does?

I just hope a fraction of his magic has rubbed off on Smart and I agree he has been worth every penny.

Smart has been around long enough to know everything that needs to be done to run a championship program. The only question is does he have the ability to pick the right people to help him do it and manage them to keep them on track... and keep himself on track as well.

Boosters running low on funds. All those #1 classes are expensive.
