1) ourselves
2) auburn
3) Tennessee

4) LSU
5) everybody else

Edited to add Ourselves as rival #1. Don't know how I could have forgotten. No team has beaten Bama more than Bama. A'ight.

Ps. Op is crazy and obviously doesn't know the history of the rivalry and/or Bama football if he thinks Tennessee is not our rival just because we have a streak going. The history of the rivalry has been filled with streaks. Were we not Tennessee's rival when they won 9 of 10 against Bama in the 90's and 00's. Or 4 in a row in the 80s.

UT was the best team we played this season. I know their record wasn't gold but by the time October came around they were formidable. I thought Hurd was the best back we played. He was quick, stepped out of tackles and had good speed. It was all we could do to contain him. UT was looking good in that game but got worn down. Now that LSU seems to be resorting back to...LSU and UT sems to be trending back to UT, this LSU thing as one-sided a rivalry as it already was will be a mere footnote in Bama. UT is back to being what UT used ot look like and the dormant series is about to get down to the wire exciting like it used to be. Come this time next year or the next, Bama fans will not even be discussing LSu but will be loathing UT again.

UT is just a natural rival.Close proximity, two winningest SEC teams, two largest SEC bowl participants and a ton of UT grads in Bama. Culturally not a lot different. Going to BTR is almost like going to another part of the world. At least they are comparable to a northern or midwestern state. Heck, they don't even speak with a southern accent, eat soups at tailgates and have last names that end in eux. Nothing wrong with that but it's not the true south and vast differences in cultures. THey have a Brooklyn accent in places. Never see that in the rest of the south.

If you have to ask this you are new to Alabama sports tradition and the past going back to the 1920s.

Frick Tennessee and everything in that State and their mothers too. No one really gives a shite about LSU the moment the game is over... except on this board where it is apparently a sport to diddle them.

You have a completely warped understanding of what a "rivalry" is. It has nothing do with "close or competitive games." I guess you will be saying that Army is not really a "rival" of Navy because Navy has won 15 games in a row or something? Jezz Christ man... WTF?

Jeezzzzz... just lose to Tennessee one time... one fricking time... and see how that feels. God.. why does this question even come up?

I judge Bama's rivals by their overall head to head against Bama.

1. Auburn 44-35-1, .556 winning pct
2. Tennessee 52-38-7, .572 winning pct
3. Georgia 38-25-4, .597 winning pct
4. Florida 24-14, .632 winning pct
5. LSU 50-25-5, .656 winning pct
6. Arkansas 16-8, .667 winning pct

I think it really depends on the age of the fan.

To my father, Tenn will always be the number one rival. To my younger nephews, I would say LSU.

Tenn needs to win some of games before hate can really come back.

I hate the vols with a burning kind of hate. I have to spit at the mention of their lying, cheating, fat arse disgraced coach foolmer. Next would be the barn but it's hardly a rivalry because I feel sorry for them. Like you do for a deformed or retarded person.
