He said he was in a similar situation to Brady.

Yea the title to that link was misleading. I didn't even read it all and it was obvious he was talking about a situational chance to prove what he could do. I can't hate anyone for having a competitive attitude. He may be kinda douchey IMO but not gonna be a hater.

AJ is a weird dude. He wore a bow tie on the team bus to Bama games and that would be OK by itself but with a huge chest tat and fighting with Barrett Jones (center) in the NC game, who was his roommate, there's a screw lose somewhere. Having said that he won 2 NCs for us so I could care less. He's all good by us Bama fans.

He is kind of odd but he isn't a bad QB. He was surrounded with top tier talent at Bama that played against quiet frankly a lot of teams that couldn't compare. I'll be very interested to see how he does against other defenses loaded with talent every week. Hell, he might pull it off and be "Captain chest tatt I'm Bama boy" douchey guy for all I care.

I think he wins 2/3. He's going to surprise some people.

Except for when Von Miller gets hold of him and treats him like a pedophile in prison. He might want to pay Jeremy Hill some protection money.

He will get all of the snaps this week in practice and get in on the game plan so I think he may do pretty good. I would like to see him start one day. I think he is a good QB.

Ridiculously hot wife....check
3 National Championship rings in college, 2 as a starting QB....check
NFL QB on a good team, even though it's been toting a clipboard so he's getting paid pretty well....check
Rich parents....check

Yeah, I'd be confident too.

not bashing but I saw a tweet that said no Bama qb has won a game as a starter in the NFL since 1987. Just found it hard to believe. Great teams with mediocre QB play. What is LSU even hard mediocre QB play? One could only imagine.

what if LSU had even mediocre QB play?

Consider that Alabama QBing was often perfect for the team structure and game plan. It is unusually stupid to look at the play of the NFL to judge a college team and college players. The team structure and play are totally different.

Consider that it was a lot more than poor QB play at LSU that has led to Alabama wins. Actually LSU QB play against Alabama has been pretty good. for instance, Jefferson should get credit for 9-6 and should not be blamed for 21-0 when the rest of the team quit and OL was a travesty.

I think LSU's problem has been great individual effort, but lousy teamwork. The team has always appeared confused, indiscipline, penalties, bad play calling, inflexible plan and adjustment, and frankly a "soft" team... lack of conditioning, a team that wears down, lacks depth, and always has holes in the roster.

There is a lot more to a team than QB... and I don't think the LSU coaches understand the missing elements or how to mesh them. Culture is also questionable. LSU can do it, but it will take an entire re-tooling unless a supremely lucky season happens.
