Like they say, the proof is in the puddin'. I think if we do, we handle it better than y'all have handled it.

More on the Rivers arrest.
https://m.onlineathens.com/breaking-news/2015-12-14/uga-football-player-arrest-came-after-traffic-stop#article=822554590B4A0B25E4239A606BE6BA29F334
So at least 2 more guys are probably going to test positive, IMO. Nartez Patrick (who was arrested with Rivers the last time, and Rico McGraw (who had a pill bottle with him at the arrest that smelled like week,) were the 2 other players with him.
This will be an exciting year for the games.

Georgia freshman defensive end Chauncey Rivers’ latest arrest for possession of marijuana came after the car he was a passenger in was stopped by Athens Clarke-County police late Friday night because the vehicle’s registration was suspended.
The silver Chevrolet was pulled over in a parking lot at Pulaski and Clayton Streets in Athens around 10:45 p.m. Friday, according to the police incident report obtained by The Athens Banner-Herald.
The police officer smelled strong marijuana scent coming from the vehicle. The officer asked if there were any illegal drugs and Rivers said “no some other people smoked in the car earlier,” according to the report.
The three occupants of the car were asked to exit the vehicle. The other two occupants were also Georgia football players, but the Banner-Herald is not identifying them because they were not arrested.

btw, just as a friendly reminder for your thread, there are five separate times in the OP where it is specifically stated "players suspended/leave", yet you only one time (and ambiguously at that) mention arrests/violations/infractions.
A casual observer reading the thread would naturally assume this thread is for players suspended or leaving, without giving any thought to regular good ole fashioned arrests or tickets.
Just a heads up.

I think the intent is pretty clear; if a guy gets in trouble for whatever reason and is arrested/suspended/dismissed/encouraged to leave it counts. Traffic violations/tickets like that wouldn't count, unless it was DUI or something egregious like that.

bold move to specifically lock in BUI, if that happens, I'll give your pick more weight as opposed to my driving while intoxicated DUI/DWI/BUI pick.

I'm familiar with the thread so I get it. But in this above post you say
quote:
and is arrested/suspended/dismissed/encouraged to leave
while in the 5 times in the OP the premise is conveyed it doesn't include that. I mean, the very title simply says suspended or leave. While I know that you want to count arrests as well, someone unfamiliar with the thread may not.

If a UGA player farts in the general vicinity of a infant with cerebral palsy, it's getting mentioned in this thread.

Tough one. If there was actually a news story written about it, probably, but it wouldn't count for the purposes of this contest unless the flatulence was intentional and meant in an aggressive/abusive manner, which resulted in a suspension or dismissal.

Did it piss you off last night when Joey Galloway said Muschamp is in SCAR because no one else wanted the job?

I don't see why it would, but if it helps you deflect your own fan-base's uncertainty about the smart hire I understand.

Depends...was it a rank arse fart, a shart, or cropdusting?
They each carry a certain amount of weight.

Joe Galloway? How much does it bother you that y'all are bending over for alabama right now? How much success is Smart having as your new HCIW?

This thread is always funny. Last year was a banner year for lack of arrest during the offseason in Athens. I look forward to all the humor this thread will surely bring in the offseason. I also look forward to the humor of Muschamp being the HC at an SEC school again. Should be a funny 365 days!

This does not count, at this point in time, but may be a sign that something is brewing.

All indications are that safety Johnathan Abram, who started four games for Georgia as a freshman, has left the football team.
“Johnathan is not at Georgia,” a woman who identified herself as Abram’s mother said Monday afternoon during a brief phone conversation.
Monday was the first day of spring semester classes at UGA. It was not clear where Abram, who is from Columbia, Miss., was or if he was headed to another school.
quote:
Last year Abram enrolled early at Georgia after being recruited to school by Jeremy Pruitt, the now-former defensive coordinator and secondary coach. The night that Mark Richt was fired, it was Abram who walked by the media and said, unprompted: “If the media wants to know anything, keep Pruitt.”

Abram was processed. Richard LeCounte will take his place easily.
