Not at all. If Murray would have been told he was redshirting then either a) he would have signed somewhere else, or b) he would be two years behind Allen and given the chance to get ready to play in this league.
Murray was terrible at best this year. The kid is small, can't see over the line, and is very one dimensional. He needed to sit for a year. And our staff was fricking stupid to play him.

Yup. Should have told him if he wanted to be the next Manziel, he should be man enough to redshirt like Manziel did.

So basically A. He wasn't going to redshirt.
