Of all time, and still never won the Sec. They did however do decently a few years and that's great.

So what's their gameplan moving forward? Hiring the worst coach in Florida history

Make no mistake. No coach in history under performed based on expectations than Muschamp. His losses to Georgia Southern and Vandy will go down as two of the three worst losses in program history.

Let's just think about just how dumb the hire is. Florida's best coach couldn't win the SEC at USCE. So you bring in the absolute worst? Call Charlie Weis next as well. May as well go from Holtz to him next. Just to complete the full cycle.

Richt and Pinkel gone, Butch and Muschamp here. Oh my the East is going to be awful

I'm starting to see what Auburn fans were talking about in regards to Gator fans being all over our cocks

meh,
I didn't really see a huge difference between Spurrier and Holtz at USCe save those 11 win seasons when the east was DOWN. When Holtz was there UT and UF were major forces. Was Spurrier better? yes but not to the degree some would think.
Spurrier 64% win
Holtz had a 56%

South Carolina is South Carolina. I remember the 80 season when the cocks went 8-4 under Jim Carlen and had a heisman winner. Then followed that up with 6-6 and 4-7 seasons.
Then in 84 went 10-2 under Morrison and everybody said, again, they had arrived. Then followed that up with 5-6 and 3-6-1 records.

Why do you care so much? You just went to the SEC title game. Shouldn't you be more concerned about ole Limey Teeth teaching Treon how to hit water from a boat?

Those 3 11 win seasons are huge because of everything else you just posted. It's now proven that you can win at SC, and win consistently. If we recruit the players. Spurrier got lazy about that and left us bare.

If you can't look at South Carolina and tell the difference in the facilities and fan expectations pre spurrier to post spurrier, idk what to tell you. We have the pieces in place. We just need a solid coach and great recruiter. We have the great recruiter now, let's just see if he's learned from his mistakes.

In either case, Muschamp isn't the awful coach he's made out to be. Florida has very high expectations. Higher than ours. If he had one QB worth a lick of salt, he might still be at Florida today.

The lack of development of QB's is no one's fault but his own. As a staff they completely failed on offense game planning and player development. We had 4 quarterbacks in 4 years that were ranked in the top 3 at their position coming out of high school. This doesn't even include Will Grier who was sitting on the bench.

John Brantley - #3 QB
Jeff Driskel - #1 dual threat QB
Jacoby Brissett - #3 QB
Treon Harris - #3 QB

I get that. I'm not saying he didn't make any mistakes at Florida. He made plenty. But I feel they are correctable mistakes and we could be in decent shape. Of Course, I can only speculate.

Brissett is a future NFL draft pick
Driskel was one of the most productive Qbs this season
Brantley was a top tier recruit built for Muschamps wanted offense

No excuses. He also had major issues recruiting skill players and lineman. Also his fault. Muschamp has no excuses at Florida. He was the failure, we didn't fail him.

He had the worst winning percentage of any Gator coach since 1960 other than Pell, whose 0-10-1 first season put him just below Muschamp. A 57% winning percentage would have been acceptable back around WWII when no one lived in Florida. The UF that Muschamp inherited is entirely different than one he would have inherited back in 1945.

Has nothing to do with obsession. It has to do with this many destroying a program and us hating hi.. Of course we will comment when he gets a head coaching job with a yearly opponent. Same as if Les got a job at Texas jr or Mullen went to Arkansas. Acting like Uf fans should care is dumb. Though you are a Tenn fan. So it makes sense you don't understand things very well.

Why is it so hard for everyone to realize that while we would have taken Smart or Herman.. Muschamp could still be a better fit for a program like South Carolina?

We aren't a monster of a school like some of our fans act like. We got Muschamp for a very good deal and he is already putting more work in than our old head coach did within an entire year.

I like the hires and changes already happening and it's only officially day two.

Driskel would have balled out under Spurrier, Urban, Mac, and even Zook. He's developed more in one year at LA Tech than he did in four under Boom. He's an NFL prospect.

Conclusion: Boom is really bad at offense.

I do wish him the best and root for him not to bust again so the East can get a bit more competitive.

Not at all a concern. I'm betting heavily that Treon never throws another pass at UF after the bowl game. If we are lucky, he's already thrown his last pass for UF.

Uf has Franks and possibly Eason coming in and Grier is back next year. And a top tier recruit in 2017.

We aren't that worried about Qb honestly going forward. We could end up with one of the most elite groups. Grier, Franks, and Eason. Nasty stuff
