Has nothing to do with whether or not he deserves the heisman. I wish all the mini-Mel Kiper's would stop bringing up his pro prospects like it makes what he's done any less impressive. The heisman is a COLLEGE trophy.

Yeldon is probably going to have the best pro career of any recent Alabama running back, IMO.

So versatile and I love his running style.

Ingram has been a very, very solid pro, as well. Doesn't get enough credit in New Orleans sometimes.

Lacy just gets out of shape too much and pisses off coaches/management in Green Bay. He's a very good player, though.

I think Henry will be somewhere around Lacy.

Trying to predict which RB is going to be a stud in the NFL is like trying to predict the weather for next March.

People say this and that about how Henry is going to do in the NFL, but if you look at the top 10 leading rushers in the NFL right now, half of them are guys you probably didn't even know existed when they were in college.

I think he will have a good career. He is big and strong. A sussesful running back in the pros get 80 to 100 yards a game on 20 carrys. He runs a little upright. Alot like Shaun Alexander. But more speed and much more power. If he gets a decent team with a line he will be fine. He also is really good at picking up a blitz. Just my opinion

If he wants a long pro career he'll start working out at LB the second the season is over

Correct. I get tired of people projecting pro careers. Has nothing to do with college football

I don't think he will be a star. 30 yrs ago, he probably would have been. He's the type of guy that will have to carry a whole lot to wear the defense down, and that will wear him down in about 4-5 seasons.

He's a little too big, takes a little too much time to get rolling. Needs the ball too much, probably won't be a factor with something like 15 carries. Not very shifty, will get hit and tackled a lot at the line "with one man to beat".

I agree, this has nothing to do with the Heisman, I think he should win that.

I think Derrick Henry would have a great career with a team like New England (too bad N.E. doesn't have a 1st round choice) not because they are already good, but because he would fit their style.

As awesome a back as I think Henry is, I think he'd have less of a chance for success on another great NFL team, the Carolina Panthers, because of THEIR running style with the read-option being a integral part of the package.
