That was great to see! A good omen!

Why isn't Henson fired yet?
Posted on 12/3/15 at 8:54 pm to Literalist
This is the same team that supported a very privileged student on a "so called" hunger strike.
I don't care how pleased they are, I want wins.
I lived the frickin' Woody Wagon. True Son, DC with FOUR Super Bowl rings, bullshite, bullshite, bullshite. Sorry, but that crap is impossible to forget.

Yup, me too. The same story...but we hope for a better outcome this time, eh?

I don't give a flying frick what this team thinks.
frick them.
I hope Odom can get this shite show figured out.

LOL
Come on guys. Get on board. Literally the only thing you can do now is support him. If it doesn't work (and it will) their will be plenty of time to crow about how right you were later.
Barry Odom is now our HC. Act accordingly.

I will not "get on board" with this just yet. This team threatened to quit, basically, over a student on a hunger strike that has a family that has more money than God. Just because they're please, who gives a rat's rear. Unless and until this team performs better, I will withhold "getting on board". This smells of another KA hire...a second rate hire at a University in a first rate conference. I am leery as they have screwed things up for far too long for my tastes. I have stuck by this team for over 40 years now, since I was old enough to beging to understand football. Right now, with all that this team has pulled in the last few weeks, I am not going to give them any benefit of the doubt.

Not comparable at all to KA.
Odom is one of the brightest up and coming young coaches in CFB. If he doesn't get this job, he gets another one. Already had another offer. Don't think KA had one of those, or would have gotten one either.
Just because they both went here doesn't mean they have anymore than that in common. Cracks me up that people think that is a negative anyway.
Like I said, you guys can be pissed if you want I guess but the best thing to do is get behind Coach O and support him the best way you can. I'm assuming we all want to win here.

JQ - let me guess. You're maybe 29 y/o?
I'm an old geezer and have bleed more black and gold than you ever thought about. History repeats itself young man. I've bought this t-shirt before, and it flat sucks.
Mizzou acted like a mid-size program (again) instead of a power. Mizzou chose to chance mediocrity or worse instead of going for it.

Those are just words. No meaning. Just things people say.
You are obviously entitled to your opinion. I'm just saying it's done. Maybe give it a chance before you assure yourself he's going to fail?

No one has to match your level of excitement.

I'm seeing both sides here. The hire was not my first, or even second, choice. But it could be worse. I'm not happy. By I'm not pissed either. I'm meh for now.
I want to see things roll out over the next few days. Who are the coordinators? Can we land some solid guys with recruiting ties to the south? That will make me feel better. Can we keep Hill, Ivey? Kul? Those are questions I want answers to.
Of course I will support the BO, we all want to win. I do believe he will give it his very best and be more invested than most coaches. Will it be enough? We will see. Hope he's ready.

You're right.
I just don't see the point in bashing him, but I should just let people vent.

This hire means nothing. Success or failure will be determined by whom he hires and fires. If he tries to rehab Hensen, Washington and Jones instead of firing, he's screwed. Ford misses too many big st. Louis recruits so he needs help. And a damn good QB coach.

I don't see a point in bashing him either. And really no grounds to bash him. It's just not an exciting hire.
He could be great. I don't really see a Kim Anderson comparison except for surface level nonsense. But I think there's still a medium chance he is mediocre. And mediocrity is failing in CFB.

We'll see what happens with Kul, Henson, and Ricker. That will tell a lot.

Just watched all the players celebrating with Odom on KOMU news tonight.Good stuff.

I do think and hope that, while getting along with players, he's going to be more demanding of them. I think GP became their grandpa and let them get away with a bit much. Odom comes off to me as more of a roll up your sleeves, no nonsense kind of guy. So for those with their panties in a wad still, Odom may just be the right guy.

Reedus- where you been tonight? I hadn't seen a post until this one since all this came down. do you have a life and went out?
