On paper and just from everything thing we've seen this season, we obviously don't have a chance in hell of winning. However, is that not the type of game where we typically pull a magical win out of our arse? Personally, I wouldn't be surprised if we took a massive beat down, but I wouldn't be surprised if we played our best game of the year either. Maybe this is the game where Gus finally sobers up and recaptures the magic he's managed to piss away the past season and a half.

For the first time in my life, i am thinking about selling my Iron Bowl tickets. Not because i dont think there is a chance we can win, but on the chance the coaches wont let us win. After watching that Georgia game, where we were in control of the game and the coaches panicked after the first sign of adversity, i lost faith in our coaches.

Hell, yesterday we ran the read option for the first time this season and lo and behold, it fricking works. Where the frick was this during the ENTIRE frickING SEASON. Or how about the fake punt? Pull out the fake punt against a shitty opponent when there are no consequences for the play not being successful. Maybe you should have ran a fake in, i dont know, the UGA game! The LSU game! or how about Ole Miss or Miss st? Or any game that actually matters. But no, we throw the ball vertically, run the read option and fake a punt against the worst team on our schedule. Great timing there coach smh.

But to answer the OP, yes we have a chance. Limit their running game, play tight coverage and create turnovers. On offense, we need to throw early and often. 40 yard bomb plays all night long. If they get intercepted, wgas. Just take the shots. If we dont take the shots, and play conservatively, we lose big

Are we allowed to say what we think or will we be tarred and feathered for being honest?

Well, last year's Iron Bowl was the one game of the season when Gus finally grew testicles.

If we don't score TD's, we won't win.

We would have to take some chances to win this game. Fake punts, on-side kick, go for it on 4th down. All those things Gus is against. Gus is the opposite of a Riverboat Gambler.

Do we even practice special teams? They were money under Chizik because he put empahsis on them. Sad how they have fallen under Gus.

We'll get beat by a couple touchdowns. It won't be close at any point but it won't be a blowout either.

It'll be a fairly boring game

I think the is a good chance Alabama beats themselves.

Auburn 30
Alabama 28 with 5 turnovers and 4 missed FGs including a 20 yard chip shot as time expires.

I have very little hope of an upset and I fear that this one could get ugly.

Our O line wasn't getting much push against Idaho, what do you think we'll do against bama?

It comes down to can we slow down Henry. If our defense holds strong then who knows, a busted play here or there maybe Auburn steals it. But I have yet to see a team beat a Saban defense that has not attacked them veritically. Doesn't always mean you win (see Iron Bowl 2014) but you have to stretch them to win. That 2013 offense at least had the threat to hit them deep. If we can't hit any long shots then we are done on offense.

The ultimate result is a 10-10 tied game where Henry has been useless ending his Heisman campaign & Carlson kicks a 56 yd FG to win

But we probably lose by 20+

It will probably be ugly.

Alabama has the best defense I have seen this year. I just do not know how we can score on them with no real threat in the passing game.

IF and it is a big IF, we can limit Henry, I think our best hope is that Coker turns it over a few times or some punting fumbles...

I think we have a chance. I know people are down on our coaches right now, but they have nothing to lose in this game by throwing every trick in the book.

I still do not think it will be enough. If was doing a percentage I would say 10%. We win one of ten times we play... but that is okay, all we need is that one time.
