You fire a coach whos main struggle is simply Alabama. You fire your winningest coach that had the team ranked #2 in the nation by a committee. You fire a guy that had you playing for a national title just 4 years ago. You fire a guy with the second best record against teams in your own division.

Signed,

TN, Nebraska, Miami, Texas, PSU (they tried for 10 years to fire Joe PA), Auburn, Wisconsin (the fans ran off BB to Arky) and some others.

And yes I know the thinking, we can just get any head coach we want. Why wouldn't the head coaches at Clemson and FSU run to us the second we call their agents.

Good luck with that.

Quit reading dumb articles by a assclown.

Despite the minority of our dumbass fanbase that wants him gone would say, there is no way anyone is paying $17 million to get rid of him. no way.

Tennesee: Probably would have been fine had Kiffin stayed/they hadn't then hired Derek Dooley.

Nebraska: Shitty state for recruiting, players don't care about 25 years ago anymore.

Miami: See Nebraska re:history. Facilities suck, school pres. steered attention away from football program, NCAA sanctions. Kept trying to fit bad coaches to the kind of talent available.

Texas: Hung on too long with Mack Brown, then made (possible) bad hire in Charlie Strong.

PSU: Hung on too long with Joe Pa, see Nebraska re: history.

Wisconsin: It wasn't the fans, it was the money. Bert wanted to pay his assistants real money but he couldn't do that at Wisconsin.

Continuing a trend into mediocrity under Miles just because he has won a bunch of games in the past does not seem like a great idea.

Maybe, maybe not... Maybe need a new OC first. LSU needs a fresh offense, the stuff they're using now just isn't going to cut it.

Who has Auburn fired, Chizik? He lost the locker room, we had no choice... worst season in 60 years. Not all his fault, but it was under his watch.

You guys will NEVER believe it, but Tubs resigned (Mutual agreement if you will), but he was NOT fired.

Another retarded thread from you. I noticed you dropped the offensive philosophy talking point from yesterday.

TN- Not historically dominate. Phat Phil was a great coach with great talent from 1993-1999, but was extremely mediocre after that. I really don't see how people can say he shouldn't have been fired. It was time for Tennessee to look elsewhere.

Nebraska- Not even relative to LSU due to the recruiting culture. Nebraska fell victim to the parody that is college football. Much like Wichita State in college baseball

Miami - Sanctions, not relative

Texas - Good example and the most comparable situation. I still think Texas gets it right, but they are really paying for it now. They sold out for the guy they wanted and couldn't get him. Tough to have a plan B when there weren't many plan A's available in the first place.

Penn St - Sanctions and a coach who covered up extended sexual harassment of minors. Definitely not relative.

Auburn - ?

Wisconsin - ?

Not really sure what your point is. Is firing Les Miles the answer? I don't know and don't think it will happen. Is change necessary? Obviously, but your comparisons are pretty faulty.

I'm sure LSU fans are thinking......it isn't going to happen to us because we are LSU. We are that great.
