The Florida Gators are Georgia'a biggest rival.
Mark Richt is 5-10 against the Dawg's biggest rival.
That is reason enough to fire Mark Richt.
Now, I realize the Florida Gatora were better during the Richt era than they were during the Dooley era, but there were 4 times when Georgia had the better team and lost--2002, 2003, 2005, and 2014. He should be 9-11 against the Gators. Reasonable fans could accept that. But we can not accept his real record.
BTW, here is Dooley's record against the Gayturds.
1964 UGA 14 UF 7
1965 10-14
1966 27-10
1967 16-17
1968 51-0!
1969 13-13
1970 17-24
1971 49-7!
1972-10-7
1973 10-11
1974 17-16
1975 10-7
1976 41-28
1977 7-22
1978 24-22
1979 33-10
1980 26-21
1981 26-21
1982 44-0!
1983 10-9
1984 0-27
1985 24-3!
1986 19-31
1987 23-10
1988 26-3

Florida has been a lot better while Richt has been coach than when Dooley was there.
Edit: just noticed you already said that

Dooley retired before Florida exploded, its not really fair to look at it that way- it's like how Mark Richt probably has a better record vs Tennessee than any Dawg coach ever.

We fired Charlie Mac for not beating Bama. 9 coaches later....

Derek is available.
Fire Richt and you can have another Dooley.

Compared to Butch Jones, another coach of a Florida rival, Richt is a first ballot HOF coach
Georgia could do worse

And Spurrier also dropped half a hundred between the hedges.

When did UF surpass Auburn & Tech as UGA's biggest rival?

Head to head results say otherwise.

Two coaches have played each other 3 times. One coach has 2 wins another coach has 1 win
Which coach has more wins over the other coach?
Also, can you add 1+1

And Dooley was a shite show vs Auburn and CMR owns them.
And he also has more bowl victories in 14 years than Dooley had in 25 and more top 10 finishes.

Vince Dooley needed Hershel Walker to win. Dooley's O minus Walker was like 2014 LSU, even worse. Buck Baleau completed only 1 pass in the 1980 national title game and they still won.
This isn't a slam on Dooley, it's to point out his kind of ball wouldn't work in modern times.
