Seriously, Bama's a playoff favorite when there third in their division-- its almost all on name recognition-- what, on the field has Bama done to make them the most impressive one loss team in the SEC much less the nation? What's their big win that puts them over Florida?

Florida and Alabama each have blow out wins over Georgia, each have 4th quarter comebacks vs. Tennessee, and each have a close loss- one lost at home, the other on the road; one lost to a top 4 team the other to a team barely in the top 20-- to be honest a blowout Bama win over LSU only equalizes the Florida and Alabama resumes-- they each would then have a blowout victory over the team that beat the other.

If each wins out, Florida should pass Bama even before the SEC title game-- a victory over FSU would be equal to any Bama win except one over LSU and a victory over Ole Miss would be better than any other Bama win.

And then get drove by a spread team in the playoffs........again.

This is true, but not because vegas believes alabama is the best team in the country, but because vegas believes mobs of mouth breathing retards will throw money on bama regardless of the line. This is why Bama is mediocre against the spread. the majority of bets on bama games are placed on bama, the only way to neutralize this brain dead mob of bettors and ensure profits for vegas is to use lines that alabama will often fail to beat.
