UGA and LSU comparison. Elite or Nah?

I see a lot of Tiger fans giving UGA a lot of shite when basically these programs are identical.
Since 2007 which was the last time either program won a BCS or Major Bowl game they have been very similar. Both were 2 loss teams LSU was awarded a championship even though they lost to a mediocre Arkansas team and Kentucky.
From 07-14 LSU has 43 SEC wins with 09 bringing 1 losing conference record (3-5).
Georgia has 44 SEC wins with 1 losing record 3-5 in (2010)
They are 2-2 in that time frame with LSU winning the 2011 SECCG and the 2009 game. Georgia won in 2008 and in 2013.
LSU has 1 SECW title since that 07 season and Georgia has 2 SEC east titles since then.
LSU did actually win the SEC in 2011 while Georgia basically came up five yards short in 2012.
There is very little separating these two programs, but the perception of both is very different.

Stopped reading here. If you're not going to give actual credit for winning the SEC.. then this thread blows.
Does anyone in the country have a better record against top-25 teams in the last 10 years?

We played in a national title game
Went 12-0 and the best regular season in college football history.

Both UGA and LSU (and Auburn) are in the "historically strong but not elite" category. Obviously UGA has a championship gap to worry about.

FTFY.
With that said, LSU is on a upswing proving tDecline was very premature.
Richt has Georgia looking like the exact opposite, and the team legitimately quit Saturday.
So yeah, in this season in particular LSU is "elite" and Georgia is "Nah".

LSU has been more successful than UGA in a tougher division. End of story.

With the right coach, these programs and Florida are the jobs that are the easiest to win consistently because of rich recruiting ground.
Georgia with a Saban-like coach(six sigma, etc) would be very elite.

why did you exlude 2015, which is a big reason people are bullish on lsu and bearish on georgia?

Yet LSU is doing this in the harder division. It's not LSUs fault UGA blew another game once again under richt and missed out on the seeccg in 2007. They didn't even win the east.
Georgia also has way more top recruits than Louisiana, it is not even close.

"Since the year that LSU won the national championship, they've been identical to a program that hasn't been to the national championship since the 80's except for when LSU went to the national championship in 2011"
You're an idiot

Three BCS Championships says otherwise.

There's one huge advantage for UGA and that is
THEY ARE IN THE frickING EAST
THEY ARE IN THE frickING EAST

I would like to say this is true but I think LSU has been better overall than UGA in that time frame with the exception of maybe 2012. LSU seems to live up to or exceed expectations where UGA seems to fold under pressure.

Wow. I didn't think you could get dumber but you have.
Georgia has 2 sec titles in over 30 years. Get clue dumbass

UGA has been pretty meh in one of the weakest divisions in recent memory, while LSU hasn't been world beaters, they have been far and above what UGA has been.

LSU will always get the edge over UGA as long as the Head Coach keeps the fence around Louisiana for recruiting. LSU is the flagship school of the state with no in-state recruiting competition.
A better than average coach can have great seasons because of the monopoly on recruiting.
A great coach can compete year in and year out for championships and have chances to actually win one every ten years.
