No matter which team you want to win, no matter how much you hate the other team, you have to pray that Sid gets a chance to see this game no matter what the outcome. I just hope the SEC recognizes what's going on and finds a way to recognize Sid and his family. As a father, I can't even begin to understand what that family faces everyday, but I've read the joy LSU games bring to this kids. Would love to see Sumlin fire up the Swag copter and fly Sid and the family to the game if at all possible. At least have the stadium recognize and have a moment of silence to pray for him. Screw it, just call in a fly over and and get that place rocking!

I pray to any god that anyone believes in that this man who has dealt with more than I will in my entire life makes it to this game.

I saw one of those commercials on TV today for St. Judes and immediately thought of Sid and his family..and yes, I cried just thinking about it. Makes my heart ache...literally. I hope and pray with every ounce of my soul that he makes it, if not to the game then to watch the game on TV. I have so much respect for CLM for how he has reached out to Sid and has maintained a relationship with him. I can't imagine how much that means to Sid.

It's important that this stays a "Sid" issue and not a "Les" issue or "LSU" issue. We all know that his community of mainly Tide fans have been gracious and supportive of his family, and that Bama fans are praying for Sid as hard as LSU fans. In the end, maybe Sid teaches both fan bases a little humility. Even if just a little. You go Sid.

I honestly believe Sid has taught all fanbases that know about his story on here that sometimes our priorities get skewed when it comes to football vs each of us as individual human beings and what is truly important in life.

I think the sec fanbases have either learned a lot or should learn about the bigger picture between the Carolina flooding and Sid.

The story is humbling and I pray his body fills with endorphins and he has one of the best days of his life!

I've been keeping up with the thread on Tigerrant and I am praying he gets to see the game. They said that coach Miles called today and he didn't feel like talking. This story about this kid has really caused me to reevaluate some things in my life. I really don't care who wins the game. If he gets to see the game I actually hope he gets to see his Tiger win. Maybe I'm a shitty Bama fan but I mean that. He has been through too much for a 16 year old kid.
God bless him!

There is a 9 page thread on the Tigerrant about Sid and his mom and dad is on the thread giving updates and someone has down voted every comment in the thread. I like to have fun on here and give people a hard time but I can't imagine doing something like that. This is someone's child. That being said you can't undo a down vote and on other threads I have accidentally hit down before so hopefully that is what is happening. Surely nobody would intentionally down vote something like this.
God bless that kid!

Big words Scoop. But I really do think you mean that. I've seen you in that thread and you are right. A 16 year old dealing with SIDs issues just isn't fair.... Doesn't matter what colors you wear on Saturday.
Good on you. Seems to have brought out a lot of good in people around here.

I'm sure it means the world to Sid but you can't imagine what it means to his mom and dad for someone as important as Coach Miles to actually care about their son. Coach Miles is a class act and always has been!

Scoop's good people. But that's one of the most noble things I've read from a poster on any sports message board.

It's just football. I think we all forget that until it's weighed against a story like Sid's.
I just hope he can experience some moments of joy on his way out.

Fortunately, you can. Refresh the page, cast an up vote, and your down vote goes away.

I think all fanbases, not just LSU & Bama fans, are keeping Sid in our prayers. I love the way people from all over have come together to support Sid and his family. Also respect the hell out of Coach Miles for doing all that he has done.
Would love to see both teams wear the Sid sticker for this game.
