UGA fans, was the 07 TD celebration planned?

Was there ever any proof that Richt planned that throughout the week?
Or was it determined as a spur of the moment thing.
Probably been discussed before, but I don't remember it

Do you really think Richt could coach and plan something that coordinated and effective?

I read an article last night that said he wanted the players on the field to celebrate. I think it just got out of hand. From what I read He did say he wanted a celebration though.

I bet he has regretted that move in the long run.

In a shocking turn of events, Richt had to admit that his players didn't understand what he was asking of them and that they did the wrong thing on the field because of the miscommunication.

yes, Penn Wagers crew did the game
UGA was something like 8-1 with Wagers crew before that game..way under .500 after.

He wanted a celebration. He didn't want the bench to clear.
Basically, he just wanted the offense to go nuts.

So you're basically saying Richt lost control?

it gets discussed like once a week for the past 8 years. Read this real close, and bookmark it to boot. Ready? Ok here goes.
Richt told them he wanted to see them fired up. So he told the offense (ie, the 11 players starting) that he wouldnt' care if they celebrated to the point that it drew a PF flag. And if you'll notice, knowshon and one of the linemen do a little "take my picture" type of thing. The bench, unbeknowknst to everyone else in the entire stadium, took it upon themselves to run on the field. When they did that richt was just as surprised as everyone else. In summary= Richt told the 11 players on the field to celebrate, he did not tell the bench to run on the field.
There, end of story.

Why? It was awesome and I'm glad it happened.

I might be saying he never had control.

well that's simply false.

Are you suggesting that Richt wouldn't regret it because you, specifically, are glad it happened? If not, why did you link the two thoughts?

What you just posted about the story being, is exactly what my statement describes, yet you call it false. That's hilarious.

The look on Urbans face was priceless. The fact that we stomped a mudhole in Florida's arse was even better.

No, and you made quite a leap to assume such.
YOu (or whoever it was) said richt probably regrets it. My question was, "why?"
I then followed up by giving my personal take. At no point did I say my opinion is the same as richts. Moron.

are you drunk? There was no miscommunication at all. If you tell a child to sit down and he gets up and runs all over the house, was there a miscommunication? HAve you failed as a parent? Of course not, he just didn't listen to what you said.
The team knew exactly waht richt said and meant. The bench just decided to do their own thing. I think you need to look up what "miscommunication" means.

Boy, you're apparently having a difficult time reading for comprehension today. I know the WLCP gets you riled up, but you are really chasing ghosts in this thread.

See, now what you are saying is false. Richt specifically said in the post game that the bench misunderstood that he only wanted the offense to celebrate. That's his characterization, not mine.

It's perfectly clear to anyone reading this exchange who is having difficulty and who isn't.
